📋 Description

• Lead the global technical publications strategy for Hitachi Vantara, aligning content vision with product roadmaps and company OKRs to ensure documentation serves as a competitive advantage.
• Manage, recruit, and mentor a global team of technical writers, information architects, and localization specialists to scale high-performing documentation capabilities.
• Modernize content infrastructure by implementing and managing modern CCMS platforms, AI-driven search systems, and automated publishing pipelines to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, UX, and Customer Success teams to embed documentation seamlessly into the end-user journey and product experience.
• Define and track industry-standard KPIs including CSAT scores, time-to-first-value, and content deflection metrics to measure documentation effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of user documentation, contextual help systems, videos, and digital media to enable users to learn and use complex products quickly and easily.
• Champion the evolution of content delivery by researching and adopting emerging trends in content consumption, digital media, and user experience best practices.
• Ensure accurate, clear, and user-centric documentation for complex technical domains including unstructured data storage (S3 and NAS/File), SaaS platforms, and hardware systems.
• Translate complex technical architectures, APIs, and developer tools into accessible, actionable content for diverse global audiences.
• Leverage analytics and customer feedback to iterate on content strategy, prove ROI, and optimize information delivery across multiple channels.
• Drive global content localization efforts to support international markets while maintaining consistency in tone, accuracy, and brand voice.
• Establish and enforce documentation standards, workflows, and quality controls across all product lines and regional teams.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles in documentation, ensuring content meets the needs of developers, administrators, and end-users alike.
• Stay current with advancements in authoring tools such as SDL Tridion, Git, and Markdown-based workflows to enhance team productivity and content reuse.
• Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and end-users, bridging gaps in understanding to ensure documentation reflects real-world usage scenarios.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in technical writing, with at least 6+ years managing global technical writing teams
• Experience in the unstructured data storage (S3 and NAS/File), SaaS, or hardware industry
• Ability to understand complex technical architectures, APIs, and developer tools
• Familiarity with modern authoring tools such as SDL Tridion, Git, and Markdown-based workflows
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience using analytics and customer feedback to iterate on content and prove ROI
