đź“‹ Description
- • Strategic Growth Partners is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to craft high-impact white papers and technical documents for government and public sector opportunities, focusing on translating complex technical solutions into clear, persuasive narratives that align with innovation-driven solicitations such as BAAs, CSOs, and SBIRs—without engaging in full proposal development or compliance tasks.
- • The role is pivotal in helping the company articulate innovative solutions to federal audiences, directly supporting business development efforts by shaping how technical approaches are perceived and evaluated by government stakeholders.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing original white papers from concept to near-final draft, translating intricate technical ideas from subject matter experts into structured narratives, conducting light research to strengthen problem framing and mission alignment, managing multiple concurrent writing projects with strict attention to timelines and quality, refining existing content for clarity and strategic impact, collaborating closely with solution architects and business leads to shape use cases and technical approaches, and ensuring all documents align with solicitation intent while avoiding compliance matrices or pricing discussions.
- • The Technical Writer will work within a remote, collaborative, and innovative team at Strategic Growth Partners, a firm dedicated to delivering IT solutions across time zones and fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace where authenticity and belonging are valued.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in government innovation pathways, refine advanced technical communication skills, build a strong portfolio of public-sector-facing documents, and gain exposure to cutting-edge domains such as AI/ML, cybersecurity, healthcare IT, and logistics through direct engagement with technologists and solution architects.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience writing white papers and technical documents for U.S. government audiences (DoD, federal civilian, or related sectors)
- • Strong understanding of government innovation pathways (e.g., BAA, OTA, SBIR, CSO)
- • Ability to quickly grasp and articulate technical solutions across domains (e.g., IT, data, AI/ML, logistics, healthcare)
- • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills with demonstrated capacity to manage multiple concurrent writing efforts
- • Self-directed work style with ability to meet deadlines independently while collaborating effectively with subject matter experts
- • Detail-oriented mindset focused on clarity, structure, and strategic messaging in technical narratives
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote position with flexible scheduling (up to 15 hours per week, some weeks lower)
- • Hourly 1099 compensation with open rate negotiation based on experience
- • Opportunity to work on meaningful government innovation projects without the burden of full proposal compliance
- • Collaborative yet autonomous work environment that values independence and expertise
- • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility as an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
- • Exposure to emerging technologies and federal mission areas through collaboration with technologists and solution architects
