- • As a Technical Writer at Foxglove Technologies, you will own end-to-end product documentation for developer tools used in robotics and autonomous systems, ensuring clarity, consistency, and discoverability across all user-facing technical content.
- • You will lead the information architecture, writing, editing, and maintenance of documentation for Visualization, Data Platform, and Fleet products, while developing accurate reference material for APIs, SDKs, MCAP, and other developer-facing surfaces.
- • You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Developer Experience teams to understand upcoming features, define documentation needs, and produce content that accelerates onboarding and reduces support load.
- • You will build and evolve writing standards, create conceptual guides and tutorials, contribute to technical blog posts and demo scripts, and continuously improve documentation based on user feedback and analytics.
- • Foxglove builds the observability, visualization, and data infrastructure that enables robotics teams to understand and improve robot behavior in real-world deployments across factories, warehouses, vehicles, and field operations.
- • You will help scale documentation to match the complexity of modern autonomous systems, supporting fast and confident adoption of Foxglove’s tools by developers worldwide.
- • This role offers high autonomy and visibility, allowing you to drive initiatives end-to-end while working with world-class engineers passionate about open-source and developer tools.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong technical writing foundation with experience documenting complex developer tools, robotics systems, distributed data platforms, or similar technical domains.
- • Proficiency reading and reasoning about code (C++, Python, TypeScript, ROS tooling, or similar).
- • Experience designing information architecture, authoring workflows, and versioning practices for technical documentation.
- • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering and product teams in fast-moving environments.
- • Excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- • Background in robotics, simulation, autonomy, or physical AI systems (preferred).
