Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the quality backbone of a platform trusted by 150+ buy-side firms managing $40 trillion in assets and 22 global investment banks. Every test you write and every framework you refine directly impacts the reliability of equity capital markets workflows used by the world’s most prestigious financial institutions.
- • Design, build, and evolve a modern, cloud-native test automation stack on Microsoft Azure using Playwright, Jest, xUnit, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, Harness, and Terraform. Your code will gate every pull request and deployment, ensuring that new features reach production with confidence.
- • Create an internal “one-click” seeding interface that injects realistic, regulation-grade data scenarios into test environments, eliminating hours of manual setup for developers, QA, and product managers. This tool will become the single source of truth for repeatable, deterministic testing across micro-services, REST/GraphQL APIs, React/TypeScript front-ends, and React-Native mobile apps.
- • Expand our end-to-end test suite to produce an automated “health report card” that tracks web vitals, API latency, error budgets, and user-centric performance metrics. Integrate results with Datadog, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry so teams receive real-time, actionable feedback.
- • Embed quality into the SDLC from day zero: partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Full-Stack Engineers to define acceptance criteria, identify edge cases, and ensure every user story is testable, observable, and scalable.
- • Champion CI/CD excellence by wiring automated tests into GitOps pipelines, enabling one-click deployments with zero-downtime rollback. Your guardrails will allow feature teams to ship multiple times per day without fear.
- • Debug, triage, and root-cause flaky tests, infrastructure hiccups, and genuine product defects. Build self-healing test harnesses and intelligent retries that distinguish noise from signal, keeping build times under ten minutes.
- • Contribute reusable libraries, mocks, and contract-testing modules that let any engineer add high-value coverage in minutes, not days. Your internal tooling will be documented, versioned, and published for cross-team adoption.
- • Leverage AI and data-driven experimentation to optimize test selection, predict failure hotspots, and continuously shrink the risk surface. Share findings in weekly tech talks and guilds to raise the quality bar across the entire organization.
- • Foster a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility. Run brown-bag sessions, pair-programming clinics, and code-review checklists that teach best practices in test design, testability patterns, and clean automation code.
- • Participate in architecture reviews, threat-modeling sessions, and post-incident retros to ensure security, performance, and compliance requirements are baked into every test artifact.
- • Stay curious: prototype emerging tools (e.g., visual regression, chaos engineering, synthetic monitoring) and present go/no-go recommendations to senior engineering leadership. Your research will shape CMG’s next-generation QA strategy.
