- • Axos Financial, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP, Sr. Asset Manager to join Verdant Commercial Capital, a division focused on industrial equipment financing.
- • This pivotal role is based remotely in New York and offers a competitive salary range of $145,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary cash bonus target of 12.5% and an annual discretionary restricted stock units bonus target of 12.5%. These bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based on performance goals.
- • The primary responsibility of the Senior Asset Manager is to support Verdant Commercial Capital's industrial equipment-oriented activities, with a strong emphasis on residual risk evaluation and analysis for assets acquired through actions and repossessions.
- • You will be instrumental in establishing and forecasting collateral and residual values for equipment lease transactions. This involves in-depth research and analysis of technological trends and developments that could impact residual exposure.
- • A key aspect of the role involves close collaboration with the Sales Team. You will work to understand customer needs and requirements by engaging in conversations, performing data mining, and staying abreast of industry publications.
- • The position requires proactive research and evaluation of new target markets and equipment types that Verdant Commercial Capital can strategically pursue to expand its business.
- • You will manage the entire lifecycle of equipment under lease, including sales, renewals, and early terminations. This also extends to the remarketing of off-lease and repossessed equipment into the secondary market.
- • A significant focus will be placed on maximizing gains from the sale of equipment, ensuring optimal financial outcomes for the company.
- • The role demands rigorous residual and collateral research and analysis on potential equipment lease transactions. You will be tasked with evaluating future values and residual risks, formulating residual recommendations, and preparing comprehensive written analyses to support these recommendations for transactions.
- • You will contribute to the development of residual matrices, policies, and controls, particularly for vendor-based programs, as needed.
- • Developing and managing effective remarketing channels for all types of equipment is a core function, ensuring efficient and profitable disposition.
- • Providing effective remarketing strategies is crucial to guarantee that the maximum possible proceeds are obtained from the disposition of equipment.
- • The goal is to maximize gains on sale for all end-of-lease activities, contributing directly to the company's profitability.
- • You will also be responsible for completing other asset management-related projects as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a broad understanding of asset management principles.
