đź“‹ Description
- • Lyte, Inc. is at the forefront of developing advanced perception systems for Physical AI, enabling robots and automation to operate seamlessly in complex, real-world environments. Our innovative platform integrates custom silicon, sophisticated sensors, and intelligent software to power the next generation of robotics, mobility, and automation solutions. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with a growing global footprint, Lyte is a place where passion for impactful technology meets a dynamic, hands-on approach.
- • We are seeking a talented and motivated Testing and Automation Software Engineer, ideally at the entry or middle level, to join our dedicated R&D teams. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between our cutting-edge software and firmware development and its successful implementation in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with our US-based R&D teams to take ownership of software and firmware developed for our devices and optical engines. You will then be instrumental in implementing these solutions at our Offshore Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facilities and contract manufacturers (CMs).
- • A key aspect of this role involves working directly with our OSAT partners in Asia to implement software solutions that enhance device packaging processes. This includes driving automation improvements for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and volume manufacturing. You will focus on areas such as active alignment automation, upgrading testing station software, and developing script-based data analysis for automated device grading.
- • Similarly, you will engage with our Contract Manufacturers (CMs) in Asia to implement software that supports the assembly and process improvement of our optical engines and subcomponents. This work is vital for NPI and volume production, encompassing active alignment, testing procedures, and script-based data analysis for grading.
- • You will be responsible for tracking project progress on a weekly basis, ensuring clear communication and timely updates. The role also requires you to author comprehensive technical reports and present your findings and progress to relevant stakeholders.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve pulling internal data from OSATs and CMs to facilitate data-driven failure analysis. You will also monitor their process capability (Cp) and process capability index (Cpk) for internal quality assessment and improvement.
- • You will play a vital role in writing, maintaining, and continuously improving the scripts that underpin our testing and reliability data analysis. This work spans across various levels, including component-level Certificates of Conformance (CoC), device-level testing, optical engine validation, and module system assembly.
- • Documenting and managing the evolution of software, firmware, and scripts is essential. You will be involved in tracking changes, ensuring proper version control, and managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to maintain a robust and traceable development process.
- • Collaboration with equipment suppliers is also a part of this role, focusing on maintaining their software, implementing updates, and driving improvements to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment.
- • You will actively participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and gather crucial field feedback from OSATs and CMs, relaying this information back to our HQ R&D teams to inform future product development and process enhancements.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge hardware and software in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will contribute directly to the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes, impacting the delivery of Lyte's groundbreaking Physical AI systems.
