• • The Treasury Agent role is a critical operational position within the Finance team, focused on the precise execution of treasury transactions and ensuring the integrity of financial data across all ALU entities. This role is instrumental in maintaining the smooth functioning of our financial operations, with a strong emphasis on payment processing, meticulous bank reconciliations, and the diligent upkeep of all treasury records. The Treasury Agent will work under the direct supervision of the Treasury Lead, providing essential administrative and operational support to the broader Finance department.
• • **Cash & Liquidity Management:** A core responsibility involves vigilant monitoring of daily bank balances. The Treasury Agent will be responsible for accurately tracking and reporting these balances to the Treasury Lead, ensuring timely awareness of the organization's liquidity position. This includes maintaining and updating internal cash tracking files with precision and promptly flagging any discrepancies or unusual transactions that require further investigation or supervisory attention. This proactive approach to cash monitoring is vital for effective financial planning and risk management.
• • **Banking Operations & Payment Processing:** The Treasury Agent will play a key role in the end-to-end processing of various payments. This includes preparing and initiating payments for vendors, supporting payroll disbursements, executing intercompany transfers, and managing statutory payments, all strictly in accordance with approved instructions and established protocols. A critical aspect of this responsibility is ensuring that all necessary supporting documentation is complete and verified before any payment is processed, thereby mitigating financial risks and ensuring compliance. The role also involves the secure uploading of payment batches into online banking platforms and meticulously maintaining comprehensive payment registers and all associated supporting documentation for audit and record-keeping purposes.
• • **Bank Reconciliation:** Performing regular and accurate bank reconciliations is a fundamental duty of the Treasury Agent. This involves systematically comparing internal financial records with bank statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies. The agent will be responsible for escalating identified variances to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately reflected and recorded within the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This meticulous reconciliation process is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our financial statements.

Furthermore, the Treasury Agent will be responsible for the systematic filing and organization of all treasury-related documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-retention policies. This role will also offer operational support to the wider Finance team as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive departmental environment.
