📋 Description

• The Unisys OS 2200 Application Support Specialist role is critical to maintaining the stability and performance of a major manufacturing client’s core business applications running on legacy mainframe systems, ensuring uninterrupted operations and supporting ongoing modernization efforts.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include providing on-call support for the Unisys 2200 application environment, monitoring mainframe databases for data integrity, triaging incidents to distinguish between systems software and application issues, implementing approved corrections, following customer-defined policies for incident escalation and change control, contributing to knowledge base documentation, and advising management on technical trends impacting the application environment.
• The role is part of a dedicated team of specialists supporting enterprise legacy systems for a major client, operating within Monks — the global, digital-first, data-driven brand of S4 Capital plc — which combines marketing and technology services to deliver innovative solutions for global brands.
• The specialist will deepen expertise in Unisys OS 2200 systems, COBOL, MASM, DMS-1100, TIP, and ECL, while gaining experience in enterprise change control, incident management, and cross-platform integration, positioning them as a key contributor to both system stability and modernization initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience managing, servicing, and supporting OS 2200 applications in an enterprise environment
• Working knowledge of Unisys 2200 applications development and operations, including familiarity with OS 2200 systems support principles
• Familiarity with DMS-1100 database system and TIP transaction processing
• Knowledge of OS 2200 development tools, operational utilities, networking, and cross-platform integration
• Experience with COBOL and related development utilities; experience with MASM (assembler) highly desirable
• Understanding of job control using Executive Control Language (ECL)
• Ability to thrive under pressure to resolve time-sensitive mission-critical issues
• Great written and verbal communication skills, with ability to adapt communication style to audience
• Proficiency with data access methods including DMS-1100, ISAM, and flat files
