US Payroll Specialist

📋 Description

• • The US Payroll Specialist role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for NewEra Technologies’ U.S.-based workforce, directly supporting the company’s People First mission by guaranteeing employees are paid correctly and on time.
• • Day to day, the specialist will enter, validate, and maintain employee payroll data across multiple U.S. states, process payroll updates for hires, terminations, and rate changes, ensure correct tax and benefit withholdings, reconcile benefit files, run payroll reports, resolve employee inquiries within SLAs, support year-end activities like W-2 processing, monitor compliance with wage-and-hour regulations, and contribute to process improvements and documentation.
• • The role sits within the HR & Payroll team at NewEra Technologies Ltd., a global technology provider with over 3,000 employees committed to secure, scalable technology solutions and a culture centered on people, continuous learning, collaboration, and inclusion.
• • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in U.S. multi-state payroll compliance, master advanced Excel and payroll systems like Paylocity, develop automation skills using Power Automate, gain exposure to union/CBA and prevailing wage payrolls, and grow into a trusted payroll professional capable of leading process improvements and special projects.
