- • As a UX Product Designer focused on Voice & Device Experiences at Sangoma Technologies, you will shape how real work gets done on mission-critical telephony devices used in high-stakes environments like front desks and contact centers, ensuring communication is clear, fast, and reliable.
- • You will own the end-to-end user experience of Sangoma’s desk phones and embedded telephony devices, designing interaction models and workflows that prioritize speed, predictability, and low cognitive load over visual flair, directly impacting how businesses communicate every day.
- • Day to day, you will design task-driven workflows for core telephony functions including calling, transfers, conferencing, voicemail, and call handling, translating complex communication processes into simple, intuitive user experiences suited for hardware-constrained environments with limited screens and physical inputs.
- • You will create scalable interaction patterns, develop UX artifacts such as flows, wireframes, interaction specs, and system behaviors, and partner closely with firmware engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and perform reliably in production.
- • You will collaborate with Product to align UX decisions with real-world usage, customer needs, and business outcomes, anticipate edge cases and failure states in real-time communication scenarios, and contribute to usability testing by iterating based on actual user behavior.
- • You will help drive consistency and usability across Sangoma’s broader device ecosystem by defining and evolving interaction models, task flows, and usability foundations for phone firmware and device interfaces.
- • You will join a team dedicated to empowering organizations through reliable Unified Communications, UCaaS, CCaaS, VoIP, and Hybrid solutions, working in a remote role (preferred in eastern or central time zones) within an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment that values transparency, fairness, and performance-based rewards.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in designing for embedded, hardware-constrained systems, strengthen your ability to balance usability with technical feasibility, and grow your impact by influencing user experiences that are used daily in critical business operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1 to 3 years of experience in UX, user interface, product, or interaction design, with 3 years preferred
- • Demonstrated experience designing task-focused, workflow-driven interfaces for real-world use cases
- • Strong understanding of human–computer interaction (HCI) principles, including cognitive load, affordances, and error prevention
- • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
- • Ability to communicate UX rationale clearly to engineers and non-design stakeholders
- • Experience working in cross-functional Agile product teams
