đź“‹ Description

  • • As a UI/UX Designer at Quartermaster, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our cutting-edge Web Portal, Tablet, and Mobile applications. This pivotal role demands a blend of creativity, technical skill, and a deep understanding of user-centered design principles to deliver interfaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly intuitive and functional.
  • • You will take ownership of the creation and cohesive integration of visual styles and reusable components, forming the backbone of our burgeoning design system. This involves meticulously crafting and maintaining design system styles and libraries within Figma, ensuring consistency and scalability across all our digital products.
  • • A core aspect of your responsibility will be to measure and validate design decisions through direct engagement with team experts and, crucially, with our customers. This iterative process of user research and feedback integration will ensure that our designs are not just theoretical but are grounded in real-world usability and user needs.
  • • You will be responsible for drafting a range of design artifacts, including wireframes, storyboards, and interactive prototypes, for both desktop and mobile web applications. These deliverables will serve as blueprints for development, clearly communicating design intent and user flow.
  • • Collaboration is key in this role. You will partner closely with product managers and engineers, fostering a synergistic relationship to translate user needs and business requirements into seamless, intuitive user experiences. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for delivering high-quality software-defined products.
  • • Ensuring user experience consistency across different platforms and viewport sizes will be a continuous effort. You will strive to maintain a unified and predictable experience, whether a user is interacting with our portal on a large desktop monitor or a small mobile device.
  • • While adherence to established design patterns is important, you will also be empowered to diverge from these patterns deliberately and with conviction when it demonstrably serves the best interests of our customers. This requires a strong rationale and the ability to articulate the benefits of such deviations.
  • • You will actively solicit reactions, requirements, and recommendations from both internal team experts and external customers. This proactive approach to gathering feedback is vital for continuous improvement and for refining the look and functionality of our UI.
  • • We encourage you to challenge and improve the practice of Design within the team. This includes staying abreast of prevailing patterns, emerging trends, and the innovative application of AI techniques in design and prototyping.
  • • Documenting design and implementation decisions will be a critical part of your workflow. Clear and comprehensive documentation ensures maximum visibility, coherence, and actionability for all stakeholders, facilitating smoother development and future iterations.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a discerning application of usability and accessibility principles, ensuring our products are usable and enjoyable for everyone.
  • • You will be a capable problem-solver, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and the foresight to anticipate questions and potential compromises, proactively addressing them.
  • • Effective communication is paramount. You will need to communicate succinctly to build consensus among diverse teams and be capable of presenting and elaborating on design decisions for large audiences, effectively advocating for the user.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects with a global impact, contributing to the evolution of our digital products and the overall user experience.
