- • As the Vehicle Autonomy Team Lead at Havoc AI Inc, you will lead the technical execution of the on-vehicle autonomy team responsible for building, integrating, and fielding the autonomy stack for autonomous surface vessels, enabling safe navigation, mission execution, and reliable operation in complex maritime environments.
- • You will lead a team of autonomy, robotics, planning, and controls engineers through hands-on technical leadership, including design and code reviews, architecture decisions, mentorship, and establishing engineering practices for simulation, testing, and deployment while driving integration from concept to field operations.
- • Havoc AI is a leader in all-domain collaborative autonomy, founded in 2024 and headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island, developing software-defined hardware for military and commercial autonomous systems across sea, air, and land to enhance mission performance and reduce human risk in contested environments.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in real-world autonomous systems, influence product strategy through cross-functional collaboration with perception, mission software, embedded systems, hardware, and operations teams, and grow as a technical leader by mentoring engineers and delivering mission-critical autonomy capabilities with speed, rigor, and reliability.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- • 8+ years of experience in robotics, autonomy, autonomous vehicles, unmanned systems, maritime autonomy, aerospace, defense technology, or related technical fields
- • Proven experience leading engineers from a technical perspective, either as a team lead, technical lead, staff engineer, principal engineer, or engineering manager
- • Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python
- • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
