📋 Description

• • As a Vended Application Lead Consultant at Allstate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise applications that support engineering and business teams across the organization. Your expertise in vended software—particularly ERP and cloud platforms—will directly impact Allstate’s ability to innovate and protect customers by maintaining the technological backbone of its operations.
• • You will lead the design, configuration, and lifecycle management of complex enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration with Allstate’s cloud infrastructure while driving automation, compliance, and operational excellence across teams.
• • You will collaborate closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, mentor junior team members, and uphold extreme programming and infrastructure-as-code practices that elevate system performance and team efficiency.
• • Day-to-day, you will design and manage infrastructure-as-code environments using Terraform and similar tools, ensuring consistent, repeatable deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
• • You will lead the implementation and optimization of continuous delivery pipelines, automating the build, test, and release processes for platform components to enable rapid, reliable updates.
• • You will architect and manage cloud-based infrastructure layers on Azure (including Virtual Networks, Availability Zones, Private Endpoints, and ExpressRoute) and GCP, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• • You will implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using Datadog, New Relic, Azure Monitor, and open-source log analytics tools to provide full observability into application performance and system health.
• • You will proactively identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot multi-layer issues (hardware, OS, network, application), and develop scalability plans based on demand forecasting and capacity planning.
• • You will recommend and maintain technology policies, procedures, and best practices related to infrastructure, security, and change management, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
• • You will mentor and guide team members in extreme programming, paired engineering, product mindset, and cloud-native practices, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• • You will work across organizational and geographical boundaries to facilitate cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, and drive consensus on technical direction and priorities.
• • You will evaluate vendor roadmaps and capabilities (especially Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Management Groups, and Policy) to inform upgrade strategies and ensure Allstate leverages the latest features and security enhancements.
• • You will contribute to the evolution of Allstate’s technology strategy by identifying innovative, open-source-based solutions that reduce friction in developer workflows and improve platform usability.
