📋 Description

• As a Virtual Quality Control Inspector at Xometry, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality by conducting remote inspections of manufactured parts, directly supporting the company’s mission to connect innovators with reliable manufacturing partners.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical documentation, photos, and inspection reports uploaded to the Xometry Partner Portal and ERP system to perform Virtual Quality Control inspections across a range of job types—from high-mix, low-volume to full-rate production—while adhering to established procedures and managing rework through collaboration with Case Management, Partner Support, and MRB teams.
• You will work within Xometry’s dynamic, fast-paced Quality Assurance team, interfacing with DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Supply Chain (Partner), and external Contract Manufacturers to ensure timely, accurate inspections and continuous improvement of quality processes.
• This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), mechanical drawing interpretation, and dimensional inspection reporting while developing strong cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills in a hybrid, technology-driven manufacturing environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience dimensionally inspecting manufactured products
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including assembly drawings
• Ability to clearly communicate in English (read, write, speak)
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Reliable internet access and availability to work part of the day in the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-4)
