- • Jellyfish is seeking a highly accomplished VP, Business Planning & Analytics to spearhead measurement, analytics, and business planning for one of our most significant global clients. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving the client's transformation agenda, establishing an end-to-end measurement framework that directly links investment decisions to tangible business outcomes. You will be the executive lead, responsible for the strategic direction and operational execution of the entire analytics ecosystem.
- • Your remit will encompass the architecture and seamless operationalization of sophisticated analytical processes, including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) via third-party providers, rigorous incrementality testing to isolate true impact, comprehensive performance reporting, accurate forecasting, dynamic scenario modeling, and the establishment of robust business planning cadences. The core objective is to ensure that category-centric investment strategies, precise media allocation decisions, and effective commerce optimizations are firmly rooted in data-driven insights and clear financial accountability.
- • As the central connective tissue, you will bridge the gap between Strategy, Investment, Commerce, Finance, and Client Leadership teams. Your ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable guidance will be crucial in shaping critical decisions related to annual planning, quarterly optimizations, and ongoing in-flight investment adjustments. This role demands a dual focus: defining the long-term vision for measurement and analytics while simultaneously building the essential processes, governance structures, and team capabilities required for flawless execution.
- • **Measurement & Analytics Leadership:** You will own and continuously evolve the comprehensive measurement framework, ensuring its unwavering alignment with the client’s ambitious growth transformation objectives and their category-driven investment model. This includes leading the critical integration of MMM, incrementality testing, diverse platform data sources, crucial retail signals, and detailed commerce analytics into a cohesive and compelling performance narrative. You will be responsible for establishing and implementing clear, standardized methodologies for baseline setting, accurately measuring incremental impact, and developing sophisticated business impact models that span across all relevant channels and product categories. A key deliverable is ensuring that all investment decisions are demonstrably grounded in their measurable contribution to sales, profit, and sustainable long-term brand growth.
- • **Business Planning & Financial Integration:** You will lead the critical business planning processes, forging a direct link between media and commerce investments and the client's revenue forecasts, category-specific goals, and overarching financial targets. This involves building and maintaining dynamic, responsive forecasting models and comprehensive scenario planning frameworks designed to inform and guide strategic allocation decisions across various time horizons, from daily adjustments to bi-annual strategic reviews. Your role will be to translate intricate analytical insights into unambiguous investment guidance, proactively identifying opportunities for reallocation across channels—including burgeoning retail media networks and platforms like Amazon—whenever measurement signals indicate a need for strategic shifts. Ensuring that media contribution and return on investment (ROI) are clearly understood and seamlessly embedded into the broader business planning cycle is paramount.
- • **Category-Centric & Commerce Optimization:** You will operationalize sophisticated, category-level measurement frameworks that empower more intelligent and agile allocation of resources across different product lines and strategic growth priorities. A key focus will be ensuring robust alignment between media investment strategies and the realities of the retail and commercial landscape, encompassing competitive activity, the impact of promotional campaigns, and essential trade dynamics. You will collaborate closely with dedicated Commerce and Retail Media teams to guarantee that investment strategies for platforms like Amazon and other retail channels are fully integrated within the overarching measurement model, providing a holistic view of performance.
- • **Governance & Cadence:** You will design and implement a structured, efficient review cadence—spanning daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual cycles—that is meticulously aligned with the client’s Media Playbook and their transformation roadmap. Leading integrated business reviews will be a core responsibility, ensuring that the insights generated drive concrete decisions rather than merely serving as reporting outputs. Creating a high degree of transparency across baseline assumptions, optimization decisions, and incremental impact assessments is essential for building trust and driving accountability.
- • **Technology & GenAI Enablement:** You will champion the adoption and integration of Brandtech and other partner technologies to significantly enhance modeling accuracy, streamline workflow efficiencies, and bolster predictive capabilities. This includes embedding advanced analytics tools and cutting-edge Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities directly into reporting, forecasting, and scenario modeling processes. Ensuring that your team receives comprehensive training and develops confidence in applying these advanced tools, methodologies, and frameworks will be a key leadership responsibility.
- • **Leadership & Team Development:** You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing analytics and business planning team, meticulously aligned with the future-state needs of the client and Jellyfish. Establishing clear, high standards for analytical rigor, meticulous documentation, modeling consistency, and the quality of insights delivered is crucial. You will mentor senior analytics and data science leaders, empowering them to strengthen their ability to connect complex data to strategic business decisions. Serving as a visible and influential transformation leader across the Integrated Agency Team (IAT) is vital, ensuring seamless alignment and collaboration between Strategy, Investment, Commerce, and Creative functions. Internally, you will model leadership that expertly balances analytical rigor with essential commercial pragmatism, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive problem-solving. You will codify best practices in measurement, planning, and optimization to build enduring institutional knowledge and partner closely with Client Leadership to ensure measurement strategies actively support, rather than constrain, growth ambitions. Finally, you will act as a senior, authoritative voice within Jellyfish and across the broader Brandtech network, contributing significantly to shaping the next generation of measurement frameworks.
