  • • iRhythm Technologies is seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President of Taxation & Treasury to lead and shape the company's global tax and treasury functions. This pivotal executive role is instrumental in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic growth within a dynamic, regulated medical device environment. You will be the ultimate owner of all aspects of the company’s global tax strategy, compliance, reporting, transfer pricing, and treasury operations. This is an opportunity to build a world-class tax and treasury function that not only aligns with overarching business objectives but also upholds the highest standards of compliance with IRS tax code, U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX requirements, and diverse global tax laws.
  • • As the VP of Taxation & Treasury, you will be a key strategic partner, collaborating closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Commercial, Corporate Strategy, Research & Development, and Business Operations. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the company's expansion, navigating complex corporate activities, and driving operational efficiency. You will be at the forefront of developing and executing a comprehensive global tax strategy designed to align with business objectives and maximize shareholder value. This includes providing critical tax advice on the implications of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and supply chain modifications, ensuring that tax considerations are integrated into strategic decision-making from the outset.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve leading proactive tax planning initiatives. This includes optimizing R&D credits, managing intellectual property tax implications, and driving domestic and international tax optimization strategies. You will be responsible for assessing, engaging, and directing external tax advisors to provide strategic services that support tax structure, planning, compliance, and reporting. Furthermore, you will develop, implement, and manage robust processes, models, and monitoring systems for accurate tax rate and tax expenditure forecasting. This encompasses managing uncertain tax reserves and ensuring compliance with complex global tax regulations such as GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, and Pillar 2.
  • • You will also be tasked with staying ahead of legislative and regulatory developments, proactively assessing their potential impact on the business and advising leadership accordingly. In the realm of Tax Compliance & Reporting, you will oversee all global tax compliance responsibilities, including income, indirect, property, franchise, and withholding taxes, whether managed internally or through external advisors. You will maintain close engagement with external tax and legal counsel to ensure timely and accurate filings and the establishment of sound tax positions.
  • • A core responsibility is ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. You will lead the preparation and compliance with all tax-related disclosures required in SEC filings, such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K. Your leadership will extend to overseeing and guiding internal efforts related to global tax compliance, audits, and inquiries. You will also be instrumental in identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage software tools and AI enablement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of tax operations.
  • • The role demands ownership of the global transfer pricing strategy and its comprehensive documentation. You will ensure that transfer pricing policies are seamlessly aligned with the company's operating and supply chain models. This includes managing intercompany agreements and leading audit defense efforts, collaborating with external tax advisors as necessary to maintain robust and defensible transfer pricing practices.
  • • In Treasury & Risk Management, you will oversee global cash management, liquidity, debt, and foreign exchange (FX) risk. You will develop and implement policies for effective global cash management and intercompany funding strategies. Your expertise will be vital in supporting financing activities and capital structure decisions, including the oversight of convertible debt and other potential financing arrangements. Additionally, you will lead the engagement, oversight, and reporting associated with the company’s corporate insurance programs, making critical decisions regarding policy renewals and managing claims reporting and analysis.
  • • As a public company, adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements is paramount. You will ensure robust compliance with SOX regulations, partnering closely with Internal Audit and external auditors to maintain strong internal controls over all tax and treasury processes. A key aspect of this role involves educating the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership on tax planning strategies and other relevant financial considerations, ensuring they are well-informed and equipped to make strategic decisions.
  • • Leadership and collaboration are central to this position. You will lead and develop a high-performing global tax and treasury team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. You will drive the company’s capabilities in insourcing tax-related compliance and reporting responsibilities, directing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of your internal team. Furthermore, you will effectively manage external advisors and cultivate strong banking relationships to support the company's financial operations.
  • • This role offers a career-defining opportunity to make a significant impact at a leading digital healthcare company, shaping the future of cardiac health solutions while advancing your own career in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
