📋 Description

• As a Web and Brand Designer at Breakout Prop, you will own the design of the Breakout website and core conversion flows, extending your work across lifecycle email, organic social, and brand systems to ensure a cohesive, high-converting user experience.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing web pages and marketing assets, building AI-powered design systems for team self-serve, prototyping clickable interfaces, collaborating with engineering on clean handoffs, and evolving brand guidelines while maintaining design quality at scale.
• You will join Breakout, a crypto prop trading program under Payward (Kraken’s parent company), which empowers skilled traders with funded accounts and profit-sharing, operating within a modern, global financial infrastructure platform advancing open finance.
• The team values hands-on execution, AI-augmented design, and cross-functional collaboration with Conversion, Content, Social, Lifecycle, and Marketing Operations, as well as Kraken’s central design and brand teams.
• In this role, you will learn to scale design impact through AI-driven systems, deepen your expertise in conversion-focused UX and brand governance, and gain experience shaping design systems used across marketing and product teams in a fast-moving fintech environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on web and digital design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped web and marketing design work in a fast-moving environment.
• Deep command of website UX, including information architecture, responsive layout, design systems, interaction and conversion design, and dev-ready handoff in Figma, with a clear understanding of how design choices impact conversion.
• Strong, demonstrable AI design skills, including day-to-day use of tools like Claude Design, Figma Make, Figma AI, and Nano Banana Pro to accelerate design production.
• Proven ability to build design systems, components, templates, and reusable patterns that enable non-designers to produce on-brand work independently.
• Comfort designing across the marketing surface — web, lifecycle email, organic social, and brand assets — while maintaining a unified brand experience.
• Ability to produce clickable, code-backed prototypes (HTML/CSS comfort or AI-assisted code is a plus) to test ideas quickly and effectively.
