- • The Associate Applications Support Specialist provides first line operational support for business‑critical applications, ensuring stable and reliable operations through monitoring, alert handling, initial triage, basic troubleshooting, user assistance, and timely escalation.
- • Day to day responsibilities include monitoring application and system health using approved tools, acknowledging and responding to alerts within SLAs, performing basic triage, identifying Java-related errors from logs, monitoring batch jobs and performing approved restarts, executing basic scripts for health checks and log collection, performing standard recovery actions per runbooks, validating application health after changes, logging and updating incidents in ServiceNow, resolving L1-scoped issues and escalating to L2/L3 with diagnostic context, assisting users with access, navigation, and configuration issues, contributing to knowledge base articles and SOP updates, following security and access control requirements, and collaborating with L2/L3, development, and support teams to improve operational processes.

🎯 Requirements
- • 0.5–2 years of experience in IT operations or application support
- • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification (preferred)
- • Basic understanding of Java application components (JVM, heap, threads – high-level)
- • Basic Unix/Linux commands and ability to execute Shell/Python/PowerShell scripts
- • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics)
- • Knowledge of networking basics, batch operations, database basics, MQ, and ITSM processes
- • Understanding of Autosys or similar schedulers
- • Strong communication and customer service skills
- • Ability to follow detailed procedures and document work clearly
- • Analytical mindset and willingness to learn
- • Ability to work in 24×7 rotational shifts
