📋 Description

• As the senior technical anchor for the data science function at Clubhouse Software, Inc., you will shape how data science is practiced across the organization, driving cross-functional data strategy and providing analytical clarity for the company’s most strategic product decisions. Your work will directly influence how Alpha, a product studio at the intersection of AI and consumer social, leverages data to build social products with the potential to reach billions of users.
• You will own the end-to-end data strategy, including experimentation framework design, predictive modeling, and metric forecasting, while operating with significant autonomy in a small but high-impact data team (1 data scientist + part-time data engineer) supporting millions of users. Your contributions will be visible, high-leverage, and instrumental in turning ambiguity into actionable roadmaps.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in influencing engineering and product decisions through data, mentoring senior data scientists, and shaping company-wide experimentation and ML practices. You’ll have the opportunity to define best practices, lead high-stakes analyses, and see your work directly impact product direction and company strategy.
• You will design and evangelize experimentation standards across squads, ensuring consistency and rigor in how tests are designed, executed, and interpreted. This includes owning the highest-stakes analyses and setting the bar for what constitutes a well-run test.
• You will proactively identify strategic opportunities by synthesizing signals from product usage, user behavior, and market trends, helping leadership prioritize bets before roadmaps are finalized through data-driven opportunity sizing.
• You will own company-wide top-line metric strategy, defining what gets measured, ensuring data coverage and accuracy, and driving the infrastructure changes needed to support reliable forecasting for quarterly and yearly goals.
• You will lead predictive modeling and machine learning initiatives, owning models that inform product direction and mentoring data scientists in developing advanced ML skills, from feature engineering to model validation and deployment.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a data scientist with deep fluency in SQL and Python, including the ability to influence engineering decisions, define data infrastructure standards, and triage pipeline issues.
• Proven expertise in designing, analyzing, and interpreting experiments, with a strong understanding of what distinguishes a well-run test from a noisy one, and deep knowledge of predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to think like a product partner—proactively identifying key questions, sizing opportunities, and guiding strategic bets—combined with exceptional communication skills to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
