• • As an Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in building a high-performing team, establishing and upholding engineering excellence, and driving the delivery of products that transform finance teams into strategic partners within their organizations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass attracting and hiring exceptional engineering talent, collaborating closely with our founders on technical direction, proactively unblocking your team to ensure smooth progress, and cultivating an environment where engineers can do the best work of their careers. While you will be hands-on enough to make critical architectural decisions when necessary, your primary focus will be on multiplying the impact of your team through effective leadership and mentorship.
• • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and possesses a proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams from Series A through growth stages. You will be responsible for significantly improving team output, which includes increasing our shipping cadence, leveraging AI to enhance productivity, minimizing the occurrence of critical incidents, and accelerating our hiring velocity. A key aspect of your role will be fostering a culture of high standards, where every engineer takes immense pride in the quality and impact of their work. Your strong full-stack engineering background will be crucial for acting as the ultimate architectural tie-breaker, ensuring technical coherence and robustness across our platform. You will guide your teams towards achieving strong technical outcomes, balancing innovation with stability and scalability.
• • We are a remote-first company operating across North America, valuing flexibility while also recognizing the importance of in-person collaboration for tackling complex challenges. To foster connection and strategic alignment, we convene as a company quarterly in our San Francisco office, maintain physical offices in key locations like San Francisco and New York City, and facilitate travel for teammates to meet and collaborate.
