- • Own the full spectrum of people operations post-hire, focusing on employee experience, compliance, culture, and workforce strategy — with no recruiting responsibilities.
- • Design and deliver a best-in-class onboarding experience that ensures new hires become productive, connected, and aligned with Vendelux’s mission from day one.
- • Build and manage end-to-end performance review cycles, feedback frameworks, and structured career development programs to foster continuous growth and retention.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, coaching managers through performance issues, mediating workplace conflicts, and handling sensitive situations with discretion and fairness.
- • Administer and continuously improve compensation, benefits, and equity programs, including conducting regular benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness as the company scales.
- • Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, the employee handbook, and compliance documentation across all U.S. jurisdictions where Vendelux operates, with deep expertise in New York employment law.
- • Partner directly with leadership on org design, headcount planning, and workforce strategy aligned with business objectives and growth milestones.
- • Track, analyze, and report on key people metrics including attrition, engagement, eNPS, and time-in-role, translating data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.
- • Own and evolve the HRIS and people technology stack, evaluating, selecting, and implementing new tools to support scalability and operational efficiency.
- • Manage offboarding processes, conduct exit interviews, and synthesize feedback into retention strategies and cultural improvements.
- • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers alike, providing clear guidance on HR policies, workplace standards, and procedural clarity.
- • Communicate effectively at all levels — from drafting precise policy language to facilitating difficult conversations and influencing C-suite leadership with data-driven recommendations.
- • Demonstrate high ownership by independently managing both strategic initiatives and administrative tasks without oversight, adapting priorities as business needs evolve.
- • Maintain legal compliance across state and federal employment regulations, ensuring all HR practices are fair, transparent, and defensible.
- • Contribute to building a scalable, inclusive culture that supports high-growth SaaS operations and attracts top talent through strong employee value proposition.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in an HR Generalist or HRBP role with no recruiting scope
- • Experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS or tech startup, preferably as an early or solo HR hire
- • Deep knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across multiple U.S. states, with NY-specific expertise required
- • Proven ability to build HR programs and policies from scratch, not just maintain existing ones
- • Data-fluent with experience tracking and presenting people metrics to leadership
- • Exceptional communicator capable of writing clear policy, facilitating hard conversations, and influencing at the C-suite level
