📋 Description

• As a Senior Controller at YAZIO GmbH, you will take full ownership of the controlling function, bringing structure, rigour, and depth to monthly close, accounting operations, and internal controls, with long-term impact on how Finance operates at a scaling nutrition app serving millions globally.
• You will own and continuously improve core accounting and controlling processes, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, act as the in-house authority on technical accounting topics, and support day-to-day execution and complex accounting questions around new products and transactions in close collaboration with FP&A, Legal, Operations, and external partners.
• YAZIO is a remote-first, mission-driven company with ~150 employees, transforming global nutrition through its app, offering a high-impact, low-micromanagement culture where ambition and balance coexist, supported by international teamwork and English as the company language.
• You will build a modern, scalable finance function through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement; develop technical accounting documentation; strengthen internal controls; leverage AI tools responsibly; and shape finance operations for years to come while growing your expertise in HGB, IFRS, and process innovation in a fast-scaling environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in Accounting, Controlling or Financial Reporting, ideally in fast-scaling environments with increasing complexity
• In-depth knowledge of German HGB; IFRS exposure is a plus
• Proven ownership of the full monthly close cycle, ensuring accuracy, completeness and high-quality reporting end-to-end
• Advanced DATEV skills and confidence working with accounting systems and financial data
• Strong internal controls mindset with the ability to proactively identify risks, design controls and continuously improve processes
• Comfortable using AI tools to enhance productivity while applying strong critical judgment on outputs
