📋 Description

• Design and develop core features of the Plaud App with a strong focus on functionality, performance, reliability, and user experience, leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.
• Build, maintain, and optimize software–hardware connectivity and data transmission flows between mobile applications and physical devices, ensuring robustness and scalability.
• Implement and optimize data interactions across the mobile app, hardware devices, firmware, and backend systems, applying AI-assisted analysis and automation to improve stability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, backend, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end features and ensure seamless integration across the system.
• Contribute to technical design, code quality, and long-term maintainability of the codebase, while proactively exploring and adopting AI-driven practices to enhance engineering productivity.
• Work with mobile application development platforms including iOS, Android, or Flutter-based cross-platform solutions, applying deep understanding of platform-specific constraints and best practices.
• Develop and maintain software–hardware connectivity layers using technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and custom device communication protocols.
• Debug, optimize, and maintain complex, multi-component systems spanning mobile apps, devices, firmware, and backend services.
• Embrace and apply AI technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and delivery velocity.
• Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions that ensure scalability and long-term system integrity.
• Work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of three in-office days per week at the San Francisco-based office.
• Utilize best-in-class AI tools including Cursor, GPT models, Gemini, and Claude to maximize engineering and execution efficiency.
• Operate within a product-driven environment where ideas directly shape the future of AI productivity and human–AI interaction.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, and EN 18031 in all development practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience in mobile application development with strong coding fundamentals and system design capabilities across complex feature areas.
• Strong background in mobile app development on iOS, Android, or Flutter-based cross-platform solutions, with deep understanding of platform-specific constraints and best practices.
• Proven experience building and maintaining software–hardware connectivity and data interaction layers, such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and custom device communication protocols.
• Strong ability to debug, optimize, and maintain complex, multi-component systems spanning mobile apps, devices, firmware, and backend services.
• A highly collaborative mindset with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of features, and a proactive approach to embracing and applying AI technologies and AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and delivery velocity.
