📋 Description

• Own the vision and roadmap for GALVANY FUSION’s Energy product surface, encompassing EMS, VPP, Market Flexibility, Energy Data Engine, and Savings Engine.
• Define optimization strategies for Heat Pump Load Shifting, Battery Self-Consumption and Arbitrage (Day-Ahead/Intraday), EV Smart Charging, aFRR, and Flexibility Trading.
• Translate complex energy market mechanics — including Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing Power, and EnWG §14a — into clear product requirements and engineering tickets.
• Drive integrations with hardware (heat pumps, batteries), dynamic-tariff providers, and connectivity partners, making decisions on in-house development versus third-party integration.
• Collaborate hands-on with engineering teams on EMS architecture, API integrations, telemetry pipelines, and forecasting models.
• Define and own key KPIs including €/asset/month, self-consumption ratio, flexibility revenue per battery-kWh, and savings-stack contribution per use case.
• Measure product success, orchestrate sprint cycles and releases, and navigate the four product risks — customer value, usability, feasibility, and business value — with emphasis on technical feasibility and regulatory compliance.
• Support go-to-market efforts for new energy products and pricing tiers by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to make complex energy economics understandable to homeowners.
• Act as the primary translator between energy market dynamics, hardware capabilities, and product decisions, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams.
• Prioritize product initiatives using qualitative and quantitative signals — including customer feedback, telemetry data, and real-time market prices — and articulate clear rationale for deprioritizing features.
• Champion the end-user throughout product development, ensuring that even deeply technical features deliver simple, trustworthy experiences for homeowners.
• Embrace a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, leveraging AI tools and selecting the simplest effective path to deliver value.
• Operate with a systems-thinking mindset, understanding how EMS, VPP, hardware, and customer experience interconnect to form a scalable, cohesive energy ecosystem.
• Drive outcomes over output, focusing on value creation, rapid iteration, and adaptability to new market and regulatory information.
• Contribute to a culture of accountability and impact, avoiding corporate bureaucracy and enabling direct collaboration with key stakeholders to ship products quickly.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience in high-performance environments, ideally in Energy-Tech, Industrial IoT, or related domains (e.g., dynamic tariff providers, VPP operators, EMS/HEMS vendors, smart charging, balancing market players).
• Proven track record building energy products such as EMS/HEMS, Virtual Power Plant, Battery Arbitrage, Smart Charging, Dynamic Tariffs, or Balancing Markets; understanding of Day-Ahead vs. Intraday markets and aFRR.
• Background in Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent hands-on experience in an Energy-Tech company.
• Strong technical aptitude: comfortable with Cloud-to-Cloud APIs, telemetry pipelines, time-series data, forecasting models, and IoT-hardware integration; able to read and challenge sequence diagrams.
• Proven end-to-end responsibility in product development — from ideation through release and operation.
• Self-driven problem-solving mindset with no need for micromanagement or highly specified tickets.
• Fluent in English and German; German is non-negotiable due to market documentation, regulatory requirements, and partner communications.
