đź“‹ Description
- • As a Staff Software Engineer at PatientPoint, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital health by building innovative software platforms that directly impact patient behaviors and improve health outcomes for millions nationwide. Your work will bridge traditional software engineering with AI-powered systems, enabling you to create meaningful, purpose-driven technology that transforms the point of care.
- • You will architect, design, develop, and maintain complex full-stack software systems and APIs using JavaScript and TypeScript across the frontend (React, Next.js) and backend (Node.js, Java, Python), while working with SQL and MongoDB for data persistence. Your responsibilities include building new products from the ground up, integrating with AI models and workflows, identifying cross-cutting concerns, and implementing reusable, secure, and scalable solutions following SOLID principles and clean architecture.
- • You will lead technical discussions including story breakdowns, grooming sessions, and feature-level architecture design, while driving improvements in unit test coverage, code quality, and overall engineering health through thorough PR reviews and mentorship of team members.
- • PatientPoint is a mission-driven digital health leader operating the nation’s largest patient engagement network in 30,000+ physician offices, connecting patients, providers, and health brands with behavior-changing content at critical moments of care. The company fosters a purpose-driven culture where engineers are empowered to build things that matter, with autonomy, ownership, and a focus on real-world impact.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern full-stack development, AI-integrated systems, cloud-native architecture, and secure software design. You’ll have the opportunity to influence technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, and grow into a technical leader while contributing to products that demonstrably improve patient outcomes and provider efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in software engineering developing enterprise-grade applications.
- • Strong full-stack proficiency with production experience in JavaScript and/or TypeScript on both frontend and backend.
- • Hands-on experience with Node.js and React in production environments.
- • 8+ years of experience building high-availability, high-performance, scalable services and APIs.
- • 8+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL development; experience with MongoDB or other document stores.
- • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously: taking a problem from ambiguity to delivered, production-quality software with minimal hand-holding.
- • Strong software architecture foundations, with the ability to make and defend sound design decisions.
- • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot, etc.) and incorporating them effectively into your workflow.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary range of $121,458 - $187,333, aligned with industry standards and based on skills, qualifications, location, and experience.
- • Comprehensive benefits package including flexible time off to recharge, mental and emotional wellness resources, and a 401K plan.
- • Hybrid work options and a supportive, inclusive culture that values bringing your whole self to work.
- • Opportunities to engage in company offsites (4-5 weeks per year) and contribute to a recognized Best Place to Work.
- • Access to cutting-edge projects at the intersection of software engineering and AI, within a purpose-driven organization improving healthcare outcomes nationwide.
