- • In this critical role as a 1st Shift Cleaning Room Assembler/Disassembler (L3), you will be responsible for the essential washing and preparation processes of head parts and engine components, a vital step in our established remanufacturing operations.
- • Your primary duties will involve the skilled operation of key machinery, including the tumbler, sonic tank, Storm Vulcan, Goff washer, and Mart washer, ensuring components are meticulously cleaned and ready for the next stage of remanufacturing.
- • This position is fundamental to our commitment to delivering high-quality, remanufactured parts that keep the world moving, contributing directly to the efficiency and reliability of heavy-duty trucks.
- • You will be performing physically demanding manufacturing duties that require a strong work ethic and attention to detail, including repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, and the safe operation of various machinery.
- • Adherence to standardized work procedures and safety protocols is paramount to ensure both personal safety and the quality of the components being processed.
- • Beyond the core washing duties, you will actively participate in improving your work area, focusing on enhancing safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
- • You will be expected to engage in suggestion activities, contributing ideas for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- • The role involves the installation and assembly of components for heavy-duty trucks, requiring precision and an understanding of the assembly process.
- • You will utilize computer systems to access and manage company data relevant to the assembly process, including referencing drawings, bills of materials, and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy formats.
- • Proficiency in operating a range of tools and equipment is essential, including jigs and fixtures, pneumatic and DC tools for fastening and assembly tasks.
- • Specific to the cleaning and washing functions, you will operate equipment such as hoists, blow guns, dip tanks, pallet jacks, wash tanks, sonic tanks, and tumblers.
- • A key aspect of the role is the ability to properly identify component parts by learning and accurately using identification numbers, ensuring the correct parts are processed and tracked.
- • You will be required to adhere to an established work rotation plan, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn different aspects of the remanufacturing process.
- • Completing a training matrix for each rotation position is mandatory, ensuring you are proficient in all assigned tasks and capable of cross-training.
- • The ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions is crucial for performing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- • You will be expected to undertake other tasks and duties as requested by your supervisor, showcasing adaptability and a team-oriented approach.
- • This role demands the capability for repetitive hand manipulation, grasping, and supporting power tools, as well as the ability to stand on concrete for an entire shift.
- • The position involves repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting of components weighing up to 50 pounds.
- • Maintaining a clean and organized work area is a non-negotiable aspect of this role, contributing to a safe and efficient environment.
- • Meeting established quality standards and actively implementing continuous improvement measures are critical to the success of the remanufacturing process.
- • You will be cross-trained on other jobs as required, broadening your skillset and contributing to the team's overall flexibility and capability.
