- • The Senior Product Owner is responsible for owning and prioritizing the product backlog to deliver high-value outcomes aligned with customer needs, business objectives, and product strategy, serving as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams.
- • Day to day, the role involves owning and managing the product and sprint backlog, partnering with Product Managers to translate vision into user stories, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine and deliver work, decomposing complex features, mentoring team members on agile practices, and maintaining deep domain knowledge for assigned products.
- • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is a mission-driven organization focused on improving health care delivery and community investment, offering a Hybrid Flex work model that balances remote flexibility with intentional in-person collaboration.
- • In this role, the person will develop advanced product ownership skills, strengthen stakeholder management and agile coaching abilities, gain deep healthcare domain expertise, and contribute to impactful product outcomes that align with business strategy and customer needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role within an agile environment
- • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including backlog management and sprint planning
- • Experience translating product strategy and business needs into user stories and deliverables
- • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across complex or multiple products
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- • Experience mentoring or coaching team members
