- • Own end-to-end physical hardware forecasting, supply alignment, and allocation planning for Crusoe’s rapidly expanding global infrastructure footprint, ensuring compute, storage, and networking hardware assets are available precisely when and where needed.
- • Build, execute, and scale hardware allocation models that map long-range customer capacity requirements to physical server, rack, and component procurement cycles across global data center sites.
- • Partner with Global Supply Chain and Procurement teams to track vendor lead times, manage manufacturing horizons, and proactively mitigate risks from component shortages in server, GPU, memory, and networking silicon supply chains.
- • Translate high-level compute and storage demands into discrete, actionable Component-level Bill of Materials (BOM) forecasts including CPUs, GPUs, memory, storage fabrics, and custom networking silicon.
- • Collaborate with Data Center Engineering and Field Operations to align physical rack delivery schedules, power allocations, and network availability constraints with upcoming customer deployment timelines.
- • Develop data-driven models to optimize buffer stock levels, monitor work-in-progress (WIP) deployments, and track total equipment capitalization metrics across the entire hardware fleet.
- • Review ongoing hardware pipeline variances with Finance, Product Management, and Engineering teams to continuously tune capital expenditures (CapEx) against utilization targets and operational constraints.
- • Serve as the structural bridge between long-range infrastructure engineering models and execution-focused global supply chain and procurement metrics, ensuring alignment across technical and operational teams.
- • Maintain deep technical literacy in modern server architectures, enterprise hardware components, and data center power and space variables to inform accurate capacity planning decisions.
- • Drive cross-functional optimization by translating complex engineering designs into clear supply requirements for vendors and procurement partners, and vice versa, to minimize delays and maximize asset utilization.
- • Support Crusoe’s mission to align the future of computing with environmental sustainability by ensuring hardware deployment efficiency and minimizing waste through precise capacity planning.
- • Monitor and improve hardware lifecycle management processes to reduce time-to-deploy, increase asset turnover, and optimize total cost of ownership across global operations.
- • Leverage quantitative and analytical skills to build predictive inventory models and mathematical optimization frameworks that parse hardware lead times, deployment risks, and supply chain bottlenecks.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain visibility and hardware asset tracking systems to enhance forecasting accuracy and operational responsiveness.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure Supply Planning, Hardware Planning, Global Supply Chain, or Operations Engineering within a massive scale technical network environment.
- • Direct experience navigating the supply chains, hardware lifecycle stages, or procurement dynamics of a public cloud hyperscaler or large-scale high-performance computing (HPC) network.
- • Solid foundational understanding of modern server system architectures, enterprise hardware components (compute, memory, storage topologies), and typical data center power/space variables.
- • Advanced proficiency in building forecasting sheets, predictive inventory models, or mathematical optimization models to parse hardware lead times and deployment risks.
- • Proven ability to distill complex engineering designs into clear supply requirements for vendors and procurement partners, and vice versa.
- • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Operations Research, Management Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent quantitative discipline.
