  • • Are you a seasoned healthcare communications professional with a proven track record in leading strategic client relationships and driving account growth? Inizio Engage XD is seeking a dynamic Account Director to join our Client Engagement Team (CET) and partner with global pharmaceutical clients.
  • • As an Account Director, you will be instrumental in managing and expanding a portfolio of business. This portfolio might encompass specific segments of a large, key account, a collection of smaller accounts (under $1M), or a strategic blend of both. Your primary objective will be to foster deep, trusted partnerships with clients, ensuring their evolving needs are met with Inizio Engage XD's comprehensive suite of communication solutions.
  • • You will be the primary point of contact and strategic lead for your assigned accounts, acting as a crucial bridge between the client's objectives and Inizio Engage XD's capabilities. This role demands a proactive approach to understanding the intricate landscape of your clients' businesses, identifying opportunities where XD's expertise can deliver significant value, and translating those opportunities into tangible growth for the agency.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve driving account growth. This means not only deepening relationships with existing contacts to increase service volume and diversify offerings but also actively identifying and cultivating new relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations. You will be accountable for the financial health and expansion of your accounts, working collaboratively to forecast revenue, manage budgets, and identify new business potential.
  • • You will partner closely with subject matter experts across Inizio Engage XD's specialized service lines – including Emota, Forty1, and Nazarѐ – to co-create innovative solutions that address complex client challenges. This collaborative approach ensures that clients receive best-in-class strategic thinking and execution, leveraging the full breadth of XD's capabilities in employee engagement, learning and training, scientific engagement, and capability building, all underpinned by applied behavioural science.
  • • Stewardship of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is paramount. You will ensure seamless adoption of these agreements, establishing clear ways of working and robust processes to guarantee efficient and effective project delivery. This includes onboarding new client contacts into the agency, ensuring they understand Inizio Engage XD's value proposition and operational framework.
  • • As an ambassador for Inizio Engage XD, you will represent the agency both internally and externally. You will champion the agency's values and capabilities, ensuring the wider agency team is empowered and equipped for success on your accounts. This involves providing clear briefs, offering a strategic point of view that aligns with client needs and perceived value, and mentoring direct reports (if applicable) to foster their professional development and contribution to account success.
  • • Internally, you will cultivate strong, collaborative relationships across the XD network. This involves understanding the diverse specialisms within the agency and engaging the right subject matter experts at the opportune moments. You will ensure that account ambassadors and project teams are fully briefed on client context, including business objectives, brand strategies, MSAs, and relevant processes. Your role is to foster a culture of collaboration that drives project delivery and to navigate any internal complexities to achieve positive client outcomes and valuable agency insights.
  • • Commercial accountability is a key component of this role. You will maintain a thorough understanding of your accounts' forecasts, working closely with your Client Engagement Director (CED) and service line counterparts to ensure accuracy. You will proactively identify growth opportunities and potential risks, developing strategic plans to mitigate challenges and capitalize on new business prospects. You will also contribute to the agency's growth by providing strategic input on new opportunities and pitches, assessing their viability based on resource investment versus potential return.
  • • You will be responsible for maintaining HubSpot pipelines and XD forecasts in line with agency processes, ensuring data integrity for strategic decision-making. Furthermore, you will partner with your CED to develop strategic growth plans for existing client partners and identify 'white space' opportunities with new client contacts. Understanding the broader Inizio footprint within your accounts will be crucial for identifying synergistic growth opportunities for XD and vice versa. You will also leverage client relationships and project successes to identify marketing opportunities, such as case studies, that support agency-wide growth. Leading pitches within your account and, when appropriate, for new opportunities outside your direct remit, will be a significant part of your contribution.
