📋 Description

  • RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Manager (PM) to join its Performance Excellence (PE) organization. This pivotal role is instrumental in driving the continuous improvement and sustainment of RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) principles across Raytheon. As a transformation leader, you will be at the forefront of modernizing program and project management practices, ensuring consistency, scalability, and enhanced performance across the organization. Your efforts will directly contribute to solving complex global challenges and shaping the future of aerospace and defense by delivering cutting-edge solutions that protect freedoms and deter aggression, making the world a safer and more secure place.
  • In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for leading the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of RLPM principles, concepts, and training programs, as well as managing other assigned projects. A significant aspect of your day-to-day will involve collaborating closely with and influencing RTX business leaders to champion change and facilitate the integration of standardized, scalable solutions. This requires a strategic approach to transform program and project management methodologies. You will also coordinate with diverse cross-functional teams to develop, deploy, and sustain essential training and business capabilities. This integration effort is crucial for streamlining disparate processes and systems, ultimately boosting program performance and predictability. A key responsibility will be to create and execute comprehensive change management strategies that span the entire program lifecycle, from initial strategy and development through to production and long-term sustainment. Furthermore, you will be tasked with developing, maintaining, and supporting the configuration management of all RLPM templates, artifacts, resources, and tools, ensuring their accessibility and relevance. This role also involves travel to participate in domestic business engagements, fostering collaboration and driving initiatives across different sites.
  • You will be joining the Raytheon Performance Excellence (PE) organization, a team dedicated to optimizing program execution and driving continuous improvement. This group works at the heart of RTX, a company renowned for its 100 years of experience and unparalleled engineering expertise. RTX is comprised of three market-leading businesses, world-class operations, and significant investments in research and development, offering unique capabilities and opportunities. The PE team is committed to fostering an environment where 185,000 great minds are united by purpose and inspired to make a difference. You'll be part of a culture that pushes the boundaries of known science and finds innovative ways to connect and protect our world, contributing to a mission that is vital for national security and global stability.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development. You will gain invaluable experience in leading large-scale business process transformations and implementing change management initiatives, particularly those involving advanced digital technologies. The position provides a platform to deepen your expertise in program execution, program management, and project management within a complex, high-stakes industry. You will have the chance to hone your skills in influencing stakeholders without direct authority, a critical competency for driving organizational change. Furthermore, you will develop a sophisticated understanding of how to integrate disparate systems and processes to achieve strategic objectives. The role also presents an opportunity to earn certifications such as a Program Management Certification or Earned Value (EVMS) Certification, further enhancing your professional credentials. By successfully navigating ambiguous environments and demonstrating high emotional intelligence and learning agility, you will position yourself for future leadership opportunities within RTX and the broader aerospace and defense sector.
