- • Manage a small number of strategic Professional Services accounts, developing and executing comprehensive account plans to drive long-term growth for OpenAI’s AI products among global consulting firms, systems integrators, IT services providers, and business process outsourcing organizations.
- • Build and nurture executive relationships with leadership teams across consulting, technology, delivery, and innovation functions at enterprise clients to identify high-impact AI adoption opportunities.
- • Lead enterprise customers through their full AI adoption journey—from initial strategy and evaluation to successful deployment, scaling, and expansion of OpenAI’s solutions.
- • Partner closely with Solutions, Research Engineering, and Product teams to design and execute complex enterprise AI programs tailored to professional services clients’ operational and delivery needs.
- • Own and drive a consumption revenue target, ensuring sustained platform adoption across global professional services organizations.
- • Develop and maintain accurate consumption revenue forecasts, using data-driven insights to guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand OpenAI’s footprint within existing clients through new business units, geographies, service lines, and AI-powered client offerings.
- • Analyze key account metrics and generate strategic reports to provide actionable insights to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- • Stay deeply informed on trends in the Professional Services industry, including AI transformation initiatives, competitive dynamics, and emerging partnership models to influence OpenAI’s product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Solutions, Marketing, Communications, Business Operations, Finance, Product Management, Engineering, and Research teams to align on customer outcomes and internal execution.
- • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members to strengthen the Professional Services sales function.
- • Contribute to the continued evolution and reinforcement of OpenAI’s culture through active participation in team initiatives and organizational values.
- • Work in a hybrid model requiring three days per week in the office, based in either New York City or San Francisco, with relocation assistance available for new hires.
- • Engage with C-level executives responsible for digital transformation, technology strategy, AI, innovation, and consulting practices to align AI capabilities with enterprise-wide objectives.
- • Demonstrate deep technical fluency in AI, cloud technologies, enterprise software architectures, and digital transformation initiatives when engaging with both technical and business audiences.
- • Maintain a passion for emerging AI technologies and a commitment to helping clients fundamentally transform how they deliver value to their own customers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 14+ years of enterprise sales experience selling platform-as-a-service (PaaS), software-as-a-service (SaaS), cloud, or AI solutions to large Professional Services organizations
- • Consistent track record of exceeding annual revenue targets greater than $2M for multiple years
- • Experience managing complex, multi-year enterprise sales cycles with executive-level stakeholders
- • Demonstrated success selling into global consulting firms, systems integrators, IT services providers, managed services organizations, or business process outsourcing companies
- • Experience navigating highly matrixed organizations and building relationships across business, technology, and delivery organizations
- • Ability to develop executive relationships with C-level leaders responsible for digital transformation, technology strategy, AI, innovation, and consulting practices
