- • Serve as an Account Executive responsible for driving revenue growth by closing new enterprise SaaS contracts within the healthcare data interoperability space.
- • Collaborate directly with founders and the sales team to optimize top-of-funnel activities, including lead generation, meeting booking strategies, and pipeline development.
- • Shadow experienced sales team members to learn the full sales cycle, including discovery calls, product demonstrations, and negotiation techniques.
- • Transition from top-of-funnel support to independently owning and closing sales opportunities as proficiency grows.
- • Develop deep expertise in healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7, EHR/EMR, IHE, TEFCA, ADT, SNOMED, LOINC, and ICD-10 to effectively engage engineering and clinical leadership.
- • Participate in go-to-market strategy discussions with founders to refine messaging, target personas, and sales processes.
- • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all customer communications, including proposals, emails, and contract documentation.
- • Build strong relationships with healthcare technology buyers by demonstrating empathy, clarity, and technical fluency in discussions about APIs and SDKs.
- • Take ownership of your pipeline, forecast accuracy, and customer success metrics without direct oversight.
- • Operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced, engineering-heavy environment that values output over hours.
- • Contribute to scaling a proven sales model with 100+ existing customers, including Strive Health, Circle Medical, and Brightside Health.
- • Leverage sales tools including HubSpot, Surfe, Dripify, Nooks, and Salesloft to manage outreach, tracking, and CRM hygiene.
- • Embrace a startup culture that rewards competence over pedigree, with founders working six days a week from the San Francisco office.
- • Adapt quickly to complex domain knowledge in healthcare data exchange, even without prior industry experience.
- • Demonstrate entrepreneurial mindset by identifying new opportunities, solving ambiguous problems, and driving initiatives forward independently.
- • Maintain a high standard of written communication and professionalism in all customer-facing interactions.
- • Be prepared to start with SDR-style tasks in the first few months to build foundational knowledge before transitioning to closing deals.
- • Potentially grow into a sales leadership role as the team scales and responsibilities expand.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years experience hitting quota as an Account Executive in SaaS sales
- • Located in San Francisco or the Bay Area (or willing to relocate)
- • Technical understanding of APIs and SDKs to sell to engineering leaders
- • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- • Entrepreneurial mindset with an Olympian-level work ethic
- • Ability to independently manage pipeline, forecast, and customer relationships
