You will be instrumental in shaping the success of professional teams across major leagues including MLS, NWSL, WNBA, CFL, USL, and junior hockey. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage existing partnerships, drive significant upsells, and identify entirely new revenue streams by positioning Teamworks as the indispensable operating system for these elite organizations.
  • • **Drive Strategic Growth Across Emerging Markets:** You will have complete ownership of the sales cycle for all Teamworks products – Operations, Performance, Personnel, Coaching, and Intelligence – targeting professional teams within these key leagues. Your mission is to understand the unique challenges and aspirations of each organization and to present tailored solutions that deliver tangible results and a competitive edge.
  • • **Cultivate and Nurture Key Relationships:** Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with key decision-makers is paramount. You will engage with Assistant General Managers (AGMs), Performance Directors, analytics leaders, and other influential figures within these teams. Your ability to connect, understand their needs, and demonstrate the value of Teamworks will be critical to your success.
  • • **Become the Face of Teamworks at Premier Events:** Represent Teamworks as the primary organizational representative at high-profile industry events, including MLS showcases, NWSL summits, and WNBA conferences. These engagements are crucial for expanding your network, understanding market trends, and solidifying Teamworks' presence and reputation in these competitive sectors.
  • • **Master Internal Sales Excellence:** A core component of this role involves mastering and independently executing internal sales fundamentals. This includes meticulous Salesforce hygiene, crafting compelling proposals, efficiently executing agreements, and proactively managing your sales pipeline. You will be expected to run these processes with a high degree of autonomy and precision.
  • • **Collaborate with Product Experts for Holistic Solutions:** While you will own the overall customer relationship, you will also coordinate closely with our internal product experts. This includes specialists in Strength & Conditioning, Athletic Management Systems (AMS), and Nutrition. This collaborative approach ensures that we present comprehensive solutions that address the multifaceted needs of professional sports teams, aligning product conversations with renewal cycles and strategic team objectives.
  • • **Pioneer the Adoption of Advanced Analytics:** As teams increasingly invest in analytics capabilities, you will play a pivotal role in positioning our Intelligence and Personnel products. A key objective will be to close at least one Intelligence or Personnel deal by the end of your first year, demonstrating your ability to drive adoption of these cutting-edge solutions.
  • • **Proactive Market Engagement and Needs Assessment:** You will proactively engage with teams across your designated territory to gain a deep understanding of their current analytics sophistication, existing technology stack, and their readiness to adopt advanced Intelligence and Personnel solutions. This insight will inform your sales strategy and ensure you are offering the most relevant and impactful solutions.
  • • **Achieve and Exceed Revenue Targets:** You will be responsible for managing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and pipeline targets, contributing significantly to the company's aggressive expansion plans across emerging professional sports markets in your second year and beyond.
  • • **Empower Teams to Redefine Competitive Edge:** Ultimately, your role is to empower these professional sports organizations to redefine their competitive edge through the strategic implementation of Teamworks' comprehensive suite of solutions. You will have the autonomy to shape our growth strategy in these markets, becoming a trusted partner in their journey towards achieving peak performance and success.
  • • **Embrace a Self-Managed, Detail-Oriented Approach:** Success in this role hinges on a meticulous attention to detail and a self-starter mentality. You will be expected to maintain an up-to-date CRM, ensure timely proposal delivery, and execute follow-ups proactively, all without requiring constant supervision. Your ability to manage yourself and your pipeline with precision will be a key differentiator.
  • • **Develop Genuine, Lasting Partnerships:** This role is about more than just transactions; it's about building genuine, lasting relationships with decision-makers. You will leverage your network and proactively create opportunities, rather than passively waiting for them. 🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven ability to independently own and manage end-to-end sales cycles with multiple professional teams, demonstrating strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in sales fundamentals and CRM processes.
  • • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at professional sports teams (e.g., AGMs, Performance Directors, Analytics Leaders).
  • • Existing network within target leagues (MLS, NWSL, WNBA, CFL, USL, and junior hockey organizations) is highly desirable.
  • • Consistent track record of reliable process execution, including diligent Salesforce updates, customized client approach strategies, and diligent follow-through.
  • • Experience in SaaS sales, sports technology, or professional athletics is a plus.
