- • Cambly is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Executive to spearhead our B2B sales efforts in the Japanese market. As a remote-first company, we are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and possesses a deep understanding of the Japanese business landscape. This role is pivotal in expanding Cambly's corporate client base, partnering with HR and L&D leaders to deliver innovative English language training solutions that empower Japanese professionals for global success.
- • In this multifaceted role, you will act as a hunter, consultant, and strategist, managing the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and convert target accounts within Japan, ensuring Cambly's solutions meet the evolving needs of businesses aiming to enhance their employees' global communication skills.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve developing and executing a strategic account plan for your designated region. This includes meticulous research to identify high-potential companies and prioritizing outreach efforts towards the most valuable prospective clients. You will be empowered to define your target list and craft a compelling narrative around Cambly's unique value proposition.
- • Building and nurturing a robust sales pipeline is paramount. While you will manage inbound leads generated by our marketing efforts, a significant portion of your success will depend on your proactive outbound prospecting. This involves identifying new business opportunities, initiating contact with key decision-makers, and skillfully guiding prospects through the sales funnel to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.
- • Cambly champions a consultative selling approach. You will leverage insightful questioning and a value-based selling methodology to deeply understand the challenges and objectives of potential clients. By building strong, trust-based relationships with HR managers, L&D specialists, and other key stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to expand revenue through new business acquisition and upselling existing accounts with enhanced training programs.
- • Networking will be a critical component of your strategy. You will be expected to actively participate in industry events, conferences, and in-person meetings to cultivate and strengthen relationships with high-level executives and decision-makers. This proactive engagement will not only drive lead generation but also enhance Cambly's brand presence and credibility within the Japanese corporate sector.
- • While the role is primarily remote, there may be occasional travel requirements, up to approximately 5% of the time, to attend crucial meetings, client engagements, or industry events. This flexibility ensures you can effectively represent Cambly and build strong relationships across the market.
- • A significant part of your engagement will involve forging executive partnerships. You will work directly with C-suite leaders and senior management to address their strategic business challenges, positioning Cambly's language training as a key enabler for global expansion and talent development. Your ability to secure buy-in for large-scale, company-wide programs will be a testament to your strategic influence.
- • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with the Marketing team to align on go-to-market strategies, leverage marketing collateral, and provide feedback on lead generation efforts. This synergy will ensure a consistent and impactful approach to market penetration.
