  • • Cambly Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to spearhead our B2B sales efforts in the Japanese market. This is a unique opportunity to establish and grow Cambly's presence within Japan, partnering with HR leaders and Learning & Development (L&D) visionaries to deliver innovative English language training solutions. As a remote-first company, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere within Japan, contributing to the global success of a leading online English language platform backed by prominent investors.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will act as a strategic hunter, consultant, and trusted advisor, managing the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing deals. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and secure new B2B clients, focusing on companies that can benefit from Cambly's powerful language learning platform. You will be instrumental in building scalable training programs that empower Japanese professionals and organizations to thrive in an increasingly globalized business environment.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve developing and executing a comprehensive Target Account Plan for the Japanese region. This includes meticulous research to identify high-potential companies and prioritize outreach efforts towards the most strategic prospects. You will be empowered to define your territory, understand its unique market dynamics, and craft a winning strategy to achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • • Building and nurturing a robust sales pipeline will be paramount. While you will leverage incoming leads (inbound), a significant portion of your success will depend on your proactive outbound prospecting efforts. You will be expected to identify new business opportunities, initiate contact with key decision-makers, and effectively move prospects through the sales funnel to meet and exceed your sales quotas.
  • • The consultative selling approach is central to this position. You will employ insightful questioning techniques and a value-driven sales methodology to deeply understand prospective clients' challenges and objectives. By building strong, credible relationships with HR managers, L&D professionals, and other key stakeholders, you will position Cambly as the premier solution for their language training needs, driving revenue growth through new acquisitions and expansion within existing accounts.
  • • Networking will be a key component of your strategy. You will actively participate in industry events, conferences, and cultivate relationships with high-level executives. This includes leveraging in-person meetings and virtual engagements to build rapport, establish credibility, and uncover new business opportunities.
  • • While this is a remote role, you will be expected to travel up to 5% of the time to attend crucial meetings, client engagements, and industry events, ensuring a strong physical presence where it matters most.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve forging Executive Partnerships. You will engage directly with C-suite executives and senior leaders to understand their strategic business goals and demonstrate how Cambly's solutions can address critical challenges, such as global communication, talent development, and international expansion. Your ability to secure executive buy-in will be crucial for implementing large-scale, company-wide language training programs.
  • • Collaboration is key to our success. You will work closely with the Marketing team to align on go-to-market strategies, leverage marketing collateral, and provide valuable market feedback to inform campaign development. This synergy will ensure a cohesive and effective approach to penetrating the Japanese market.
  • • You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact and qualification through to negotiation and closing. This requires excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • • Success in this role means not only achieving sales targets but also contributing to Cambly's strategic expansion in a key international market. You will have the autonomy to shape the Go-To-Market strategy for Japan, making a tangible impact on the company's growth trajectory within a supportive and globally-minded culture.
