Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the Midwest: You will be the driving force behind Transfr’s expansion across Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North & South Dakota, and Wisconsin, building a robust pipeline of K-12 districts, community colleges, state universities, and workforce-development boards hungry for immersive training solutions.
  • • Hunt and close net-new logos: From cold outreach to signed contract, you will prospect, educate, qualify, and convert strategic accounts using a consultative, value-first approach that positions Transfr VR simulations as the fastest path to measurable learner outcomes and stronger job-placement rates.
  • • Architect complex deals: Average sales cycles range from 6-18 months and involve superintendents, CIOs, CTE directors, deans, workforce-board directors, and state procurement officers. You will map buying committees, craft multi-year subscription proposals, and shepherd agreements through RFPs, pilots, and legislative funding streams.
  • • Translate workforce data into ROI: Leverage labor-market analytics to show how misaligned training infrastructure costs states millions in unfilled middle-skill roles; then demonstrate how Transfr’s immersive catalog closes those gaps faster and at lower cost than traditional labs or textbooks.
  • • Co-create demand with Marketing: Partner with demand-gen, events, and product-marketing teammates to design regional campaigns, webinars, and conference activations that fill your calendar with qualified discovery calls and accelerate deal velocity.
  • • Expand within accounts: After signature, continue to identify upsell (additional courseware, headsets, train-the-trainer services) and cross-sell (workforce-agency partnerships, summer-bridge programs) opportunities that deepen impact and increase ARR.
  • • Champion change management: Serve as the customer’s trusted advisor through implementation—helping IT departments deploy headsets, guiding instructors on curriculum integration, and aligning outcomes metrics with ESSA, WIOA, or Perkins funding requirements.
  • • Maintain airtight CRM hygiene: Religiously log activities, deal stages, MEDDPICC notes, and next steps in Salesforce so leadership can forecast accurately and marketing can attribute pipeline to the right campaigns.
  • • Feed the product loop: Capture user feedback from teachers, students, and workforce counselors; distill insights into actionable feature requests that keep Transfr three steps ahead of market needs.
  • • Travel up to 50 % (sometimes more during peak conference season) to host on-site demos, attend state-education summits, and build the face-to-face trust that closes multimillion-dollar public-sector contracts.
  • • Be a mission-driven evangelist: Every conversation—whether with a rural Iowa superintendent or an urban Missouri workforce board—is an opportunity to advance economic mobility and close the skills gap for underserved learners.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3+ years of net-new business SaaS sales with consistent quota attainment
  • • Demonstrated success selling into K-12 or state/local government markets
  • • Proven ability to manage complex, 6-18-month consultative sales cycles
  • • Expertise with Salesforce and Google Workspace; Slack familiarity preferred
  • • Reside in the Midwest territory (IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND/SD, WI) and be willing to travel up to 50 %

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive base salary of $90k–$110k plus uncapped commission
  • • Stock options, 401(k), and comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • • Flexible PTO and sick leave to recharge and maintain work-life balance
  • • Fully remote role with home-office stipend and annual travel/conference budget
