  • • The Account Manager role at Adyen is pivotal to driving growth and expanding the company’s global footprint by managing relationships with innovative international merchants across diverse industries and channels. This position directly contributes to Adyen’s mission of delivering innovative and ethical payment solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategic accounts, building long-term merchant partnerships to reduce churn and maximize account value, proactively identifying and pursuing growth opportunities through commercial discussions, managing short- and long-term projects with varying timelines using internal support as needed, acting as the voice of the customer to inform product and experience improvements, and independently prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines while resolving issues to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • • The Account Management team operates in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment that values autonomy, collaboration, and collective success over individual ego. Team members are encouraged to challenge ideas, share expertise, and work together to drive commercial growth, supported by Adyen’s AM Academy for continuous skill development in the global payments landscape.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in global payments, strengthen your commercial and negotiation skills, enhance your project and stakeholder management capabilities, and grow as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients — all while contributing to the success of some of the world’s most ambitious brands like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing and commercial role, preferably in merchant services, enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services
  • • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers
  • • Self-starter with a curious mindset who consistently seeks to go beyond the obvious and apply knowledge to drive customer growth
  • • Demonstrated success in identifying, driving, and delivering growth within an existing portfolio, aligned with team commercial targets
  • • Experience in presenting, negotiating, and structuring complex pricing models
  • • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a consistent focus on improving team efficiency
  • • Full professional written and verbal proficiency in both English and Czech
