- • Own and manage a portfolio of nonprofit clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all sales-related needs and strategic inquiries.
- • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key nonprofit stakeholders including development directors, fundraising managers, advancement teams, and executive leadership.
- • Gain deep understanding of each nonprofit’s fundraising model, donor engagement strategies, and operational challenges to tailor solution recommendations.
- • Drive revenue growth through renewals, cross-sells, and upsells within the existing customer base, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets.
- • Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase product utilization, maximize customer ROI, and expand the scope of Bonterra’s solutions within each organization.
- • Proactively identify at-risk accounts and collaborate with internal teams to implement retention strategies and secure renewals.
- • Conduct consultative discovery sessions to uncover nonprofit clients’ fundraising and supporter engagement needs, then package and present tailored solutions.
- • Leverage usage data and customer insights to identify expansion opportunities and recommend enhancements to improve campaign performance and donor retention.
- • Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Professional Services teams to ensure seamless onboarding, implementation, and long-term client value delivery.
- • Guide nonprofit clients on best practices in fundraising campaigns, donor lifecycle management, and platform utilization aligned with industry trends.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline, forecasting, and account activity records in the CRM system.
- • Analyze account performance metrics to generate actionable insights that drive relationship growth and revenue optimization.
- • Provide structured feedback to product and marketing teams based on direct client interactions to enhance platform functionality and customer experience.
- • Operate with a mission-driven mindset, aligning all client interactions with Bonterra’s goal to increase the giving rate as a percentage of GDP from 2% to 3% by 2033.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–4+ years of experience in account management, B2B sales, customer success, or revenue roles
- • Experience working with nonprofit organizations or selling into the nonprofit sector
- • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate client needs into solutions
- • Excellent communication skills—comfortable with presentations, facilitation, and relationship building
- • Proficiency with CRM systems and modern sales tech
