📋 Description

• OnePay is seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to join its world class Accounting team and help scale for the future, supporting corporate accounting functions with a focus on US GAAP and financial record integrity.
• Day to day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statements, leading components of monthly/quarterly/annual close processes, partnering with Finance Systems on automation and process improvement, applying AI and automation tools to modernize accounting operations, maintaining SOX-aligned internal controls, collaborating cross-functionally with finance, operations, treasury and other partners, and serving as the key point of contact for external auditors.
• OnePay is an all-in-one financial services platform trusted by millions of Americans, backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital, delivering embedded financial services through partnerships with employers, HCM providers, and gig platforms, operating in a fast-paced, builder-minded culture that values urgency, exceptional performance, and low ego.
• The role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in fintech accounting, lead automation and AI-driven process improvements, gain experience with ERP systems like NetSuite and tools such as Alteryx and BlackLine, contribute to SOX compliance and scalable finance processes, and grow within a high-growth, early-stage startup with significant equity potential.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred
• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting standards
• Proven experience with ERP Software (ex. NetSuite) and exposure to automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, BlackLine, FloQast, or similar)
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail
• Drive and proactivity - builder and executor mindset
