📋 Description

• As an Accountant at HackerOne, you will support global finance operations with a focus on month-end close activities, accruals, prepaid expenses, and operational workflows, playing a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance as the accounting function scales.
• You will deliver accurate and timely month-end, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis; own key balance sheet areas; prepare and record journal entries in compliance with GAAP; support global accounting operations such as accounts payable, expense reports, payment processing, and bank reconciliations; manage corporate card and Travel & Expense programs; partner with internal stakeholders and vendors; and support audits and internal controls.

• You will gain hands-on experience in a SaaS environment, work with best-in-class finance systems, contribute to operational excellence, and help scale reliable, compliant financial processes that enable teams to focus on securing the internet, all while working onsite in Pune 4–5 days a week to foster in-person collaboration and shared purpose.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
• 2–3 years of accounting experience in a global company
• Experience using an ERP system (e.g. Workday) and a strong understanding of US GAAP
• Experience supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to partner effectively with global stakeholders
• Must be able to work US based EST hours
