- • As an Accountant at Alan, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of the company’s financial data, directly supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
- • You will lead end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes across multiple legal entities, perform detailed account reconciliations, prepare statutory filings, and drive process improvements through collaboration with Finance Data and Operations teams.
- • Alan is a vertically integrated health partner transforming insurance and healthcare delivery across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada, serving over a million members by aligning prevention with employer value and building a mission-driven, transparent, and innovative culture.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in French accounting standards, gain hands-on experience with modern ERP systems like NetSuite, and contribute to finance automation initiatives while developing leadership in financial process ownership and continuous improvement.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4 to 6 years of accounting experience in an accounting firm or in-house at a fast-paced startup/scale-up
- • Full fluency in French and English
- • Deep command of French accounting standards including VAT rules, URSSAF declarations, bank reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end close processes
- • Proven ability to own a closing cycle end-to-end, including identifying and resolving issues independently
- • Hands-on experience with an ERP system (NetSuite is a strong plus)
- • Comfortable with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel); familiarity with modern accounting tools (Pennylane, Payflows, etc.) is a plus
