📋 Description

• Support the monthly financial close process by ensuring timely and accurate recording of all transactions across general ledger accounts.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations for bank accounts, crypto wallets, receivables, payables, and intercompany balances to ensure ledger integrity.
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor communication, payment scheduling, and expense categorization.
• Handle accounts receivable activities, including billing clients, tracking payments, resolving discrepancies, and following up on outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation and materials for external audits, coordinating with auditors and responding to inquiries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements for U.S. federal and state jurisdictions, including sales tax and payroll tax filings.
• Collaborate with the Onchain Accounting Lead to reconcile onchain transaction data with offchain accounting records, ensuring alignment between blockchain activity and financial ledgers.
• Maintain accurate and organized digital records of all financial documents, supporting internal controls and audit readiness.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen financial controls within the accounting function.
• Work closely with the Accounting Lead, Controller, and cross-functional teams to provide accurate financial data for budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics related to vault performance, client fees, and operational costs to support internal financial analysis.
• Stay current with evolving accounting standards and regulatory developments, particularly those impacting cryptocurrency and DeFi-related financial reporting.
• Participate in the design and testing of new accounting systems or integrations to improve automation and data accuracy across finance operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive financial data in alignment with company policies and industry best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant in a corporate or high-growth environment
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and U.S. tax compliance requirements
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency or DeFi financial transactions is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting
