📋 Description

• As a part-time Bookkeeper at Suger, you will own the day-to-day financial record-keeping that ensures the company’s books are accurate, reconciled, and audit-ready at all times, supporting the financial integrity of a fast-growing Series A startup.
• You will work closely with the founders and operations team to manage financial transactions, maintain general ledger accuracy, perform bank and account reconciliations, and support month-end close processes in a dynamic, ambiguous environment where lightweight processes are built as the company scales.
• Suger is a fast-moving, venture-backed startup that helps B2B software companies sell through cloud marketplaces like AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, Alibaba, and Snowflake, operating an API-first revenue platform that simplifies quote-to-cash and marketplace workflows at scale for over 250 enterprise and startup customers.
• In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in startup finance operations, develop expertise in maintaining clean financial records under growth conditions, and contribute directly to the financial readiness of a company preparing for future funding rounds and audits.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
• Proficiency in general ledger management and account reconciliations
• Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time role with minimal supervision
• Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and building lightweight processes
• Availability for 15–20 hours per week, with occasional in-person meetings in Vancouver, BC
