Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full-cycle accounting process for a rapidly growing, fully-remote organization. You will handle daily AP, cash management, monthly closes, regulatory reporting, and special projects—ensuring every dollar is tracked, every account reconciled, and every deadline met without exception.
- • Master cash management across multiple entities, currencies, and bank accounts. You will initiate inter-company transfers, execute global disbursements, and reconcile high-volume statements daily, safeguarding liquidity and minimizing FX risk.
- • Drive accurate and timely month-end closes by preparing and posting complex journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and producing precise balance-sheet reconciliations that stand up to audit scrutiny.
- • Partner with external auditors and regulators during quarterly reviews and year-end audits. You will compile supporting schedules, explain variances, and implement any remediation actions to ensure clean opinions and full compliance.
- • Translate GAAP, statutory, and industry-specific rules into bullet-proof internal procedures. You will continuously review new regulations, update process documentation, and train colleagues so the entire finance function stays ahead of the curve.
- • Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams—Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and Operations—to solve problems, streamline workflows, and automate repetitive tasks. Your insights will directly influence strategic decisions and cost-saving initiatives.
- • Champion technology and automation. Whether you are writing a VBA macro to shave hours off a reconciliation, building a SQL query to unlock data insights, or configuring a new ERP module, you will turn manual work into scalable solutions.
- • Provide crisp, actionable reporting to management. From flash reports on cash position to variance analyses on operating expenses, your numbers will tell the story that drives executive action.
- • Participate in ad-hoc projects such as system implementations, M&A integration, or new product launches. Your accounting expertise will ensure that every initiative launches on solid financial footing.
- • Thrive in a 100 % remote environment that prizes autonomy, transparency, and continuous improvement. You will manage your own schedule, leverage best-in-class collaboration tools, and still feel deeply connected to a mission-driven team.
- • Cultivate a culture of accuracy and accountability. By mentoring junior staff, sharing best practices, and celebrating wins, you will help shape a finance organization that others want to join.
