Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full financial heartbeat of United Media as our Finance Manager, steering a portfolio of high-growth digital ventures that reach millions of users every month. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, data and execution, translating numbers into narratives that drive real-time decisions across marketing, product and M&A.
- • Build and continuously refine a best-in-class financial operating model that supports rapid scaling. From granular cash-flow forecasting to board-ready investor packs, you will design the templates, KPIs and dashboards that allow founders and department heads to see around corners and move faster than the market.
- • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting cycles end-to-end. Collaborate with country managers, growth marketers and engineering leads to set ambitious yet achievable targets, then track performance with surgical precision. When plans drift, you will diagnose root causes and recommend course corrections before small issues become big problems.
- • Drive pricing and unit-economics analysis for new product launches and subscription tiers. Model lifetime value, churn scenarios and payback periods, then present clear recommendations that unlock additional revenue streams and protect margin as we expand across Europe, LATAM and Southeast Asia.
- • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations in a fully remote, multi-currency environment. Ensure timely, accurate closes (5-day month-end target), manage global AP/AR, reconcile inter-company transactions and maintain rock-solid internal controls that satisfy both auditors and investors.
- • Act as primary liaison with external stakeholders—banks, tax advisors, auditors and VC partners. Negotiate credit facilities, optimize FX exposure and shepherd annual audits so efficiently that they feel like a non-event rather than a fire drill.
- • Build, mentor and scale a lean but high-impact finance team. Recruit and coach junior analysts, instill a culture of continuous improvement and automate repetitive tasks so the function can punch far above its weight as headcount grows.
- • Partner with the founders on fundraising and strategic exits. Prepare data rooms, craft investor memos and scenario-model Series B, C and beyond. Your work will directly influence valuation and shape the capital structure that fuels the next phase of hyper-growth.
- • Champion a culture of financial literacy across the company. Run lunch-and-learn sessions on SaaS metrics, design self-service BI tools and translate complex concepts into plain language so every teammate—from intern to C-level—can make smarter, faster decisions.
- • Identify and implement cutting-edge fintech solutions—AI forecasting, real-time treasury management, embedded finance products—that keep United Media two steps ahead of legacy competitors and free up cash for bold experimentation.
- • Monitor regulatory landscapes across multiple jurisdictions (GDPR, PSD2, e-money rules). Proactively adapt policies and reporting standards so we remain compliant without slowing innovation.
- • Own ESG and impact reporting as we formalize our commitment to responsible growth. Build frameworks that track carbon footprint, diversity metrics and social impact, turning good intentions into measurable outcomes that resonate with investors and talent alike.
- • Deliver ad-hoc strategic projects at lightning speed—whether evaluating an acquisition target in 48 hours or stress-testing a new market entry plan. Your ability to cut through ambiguity with rigorous analysis will be the secret weapon that keeps United Media agile and fearless.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of progressive finance experience in high-growth tech, SaaS or digital media environments; prior remote-first company experience strongly preferred
- • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; proficiency with SQL, Looker, Tableau or similar BI tools
- • Solid grasp of IFRS/US GAAP, multi-currency consolidations and SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV)
- • Demonstrated track record of owning month-end close and managing external audits end-to-end
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA, ACCA or CFA progress welcomed
- • Fluent English with exceptional written and verbal communication; additional European language is a plus
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote setup with flexible hours and a €1,500 home-office stipend so you can work wherever you thrive
- • Competitive base salary plus performance bonus and stock options in a fast-scaling company
- • 25 days paid vacation plus local public holidays and a quarterly "recharge week" when the entire company powers down
- • Annual €2,000 learning & development budget for courses, conferences or certifications of your choice
- • Global team retreats twice a year in inspiring locations (past editions: Lisbon, Tulum, Mykonos) with flights and accommodation covered
