- • The Accounting Administrator at Felix Health Inc. plays a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of a fast-growing digital healthcare company by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and related accounting functions, directly supporting operational efficiency and financial compliance.
- • This role is essential to Felix’s mission of making healthcare more accessible and enjoyable for Canadians, as sound financial management enables continued investment in technology, patient care, and team growth.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include accurately coding and posting vendor invoices into QuickBooks Online using Dext for data capture, ensuring early payment discounts are secured and approval policies are followed.
- • The Administrator reconciles vendor statements of account, follows up on missing invoices or discrepancies, and prepares and assists with weekly payment runs to vendors.
- • Processing credit card transactions with proper GL coding and documentation is a key duty, including chasing down missing backup from responsible parties when needed.
- • Managing the accounting email inbox is critical—responding promptly to inquiries and ensuring invoices are received, logged, and processed without delay.
- • Posting daily receipts and deposits and maintaining the daily bank feed in QuickBooks Online ensures real-time visibility into cash flow.
- • The role supports month-end close activities by assisting with general ledger entries and reconciliations, contributing to accurate financial reporting.
- • Additional duties may include ad hoc accounting tasks as required by the Controller or finance team, offering exposure to broader financial operations.
- • Working within a remote-first, high-performing team, the Accounting Administrator collaborates closely with finance and operations partners to uphold Felix’s commitment to accuracy, discretion, and financial stewardship.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in cloud-based accounting systems (QuickBooks Online), expense automation tools (Dext), and Excel/Google Sheets while gaining experience in a scaling tech-driven healthcare environment.
- • The Administrator can expect to develop stronger analytical and organizational skills, improve stakeholder communication, and gain insight into month-end close processes and internal controls—building a foundation for growth into more advanced accounting or finance roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets are required
- • Accounting diploma or degree is preferred
- • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new financial tools and technologies quickly
- • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to discretion and confidentiality
