📋 Description

• • As an Accounting Analyst focused on General Ledger at Zapier, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of a fast-growing, automation-first SaaS company by ensuring accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of cash, revenue, and prepaid transactions across multiple entities and currencies.
• • You will own day-to-day financial operations that directly impact month-end close accuracy and financial statement reliability, working within NetSuite and other financial systems to support Zapier’s mission of making work more productive through automation.
• • You will join a collaborative Accounting team that values ownership, continuous learning, and process improvement, operating within Zapier’s remote-first culture that emphasizes transparency, inclusivity, and innovation.
• • You will develop deep expertise in SaaS accounting, revenue recognition, and financial close processes while gaining hands-on experience with automation tools and cross-functional collaboration, positioning you for growth into senior accounting or finance roles.
• • You will record and reconcile cash transactions across multiple entities and currencies in NetSuite, ensuring completeness and accuracy by matching bank statements, payment processor reports, and internal records.
• • You will perform daily bank and payment processor reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain strong cash visibility throughout the month to support treasury and forecasting activities.
• • You will support daily revenue operations by reconciling payment processor reports from Chargebee and other systems, ensuring revenue data is complete and accurate for revenue recognition processes.
• • You will record and reconcile prepaid expenses, including amortization schedules, to ensure proper expense recognition over time in compliance with accounting standards.
• • You will partner with Payroll, Tax, AP, and other teams to ensure cash and revenue-related transactions are properly recorded and classified across the general ledger.
• • You will support the month-end close process by preparing account reconciliations, investigating fluctuations, explaining variances, and assisting with flux analysis and reporting.
• • You will assist with interim and annual audits by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries for your assigned areas.
• • You will contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying manual tasks that can be automated using Zapier’s own tools, AI, or other systems to increase efficiency and reduce error risk.
• • You will work within NetSuite, FloQast, Excel, Chargebee, and Google Sheets to perform reconciliations, maintain documentation, and support financial reporting.
• • You will support ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as Zapier scales, adapting to changing priorities in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
