- • Processes and records routine accounting transactions to journals, ledgers, or other records, ensuring accuracy in posting cash receipts, expenses, and other financial activities.
- • Enters detailed business transaction data into computer spreadsheets and databases, including funds received and disbursed, and calculates account totals to maintain precise financial records.
- • Compiles, sorts, and files supporting documentation such as invoices, checks, and receipts to substantiate business transactions.
- • Maintains accounting records through systematic filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, updating, and purging of documents in compliance with company protocols.
- • Prepares routine financial documents including invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and vouchers in a timely and accurate manner.
- • Reconciles routine accounting transactions to ensure alignment between ledger entries and supporting documentation.
- • Responds to inquiries from employees, vendors, and customers regarding account balances, payment procedures, and accounting services.
- • Operates standard accounting software and spreadsheet applications to input, manage, and analyze financial data.
- • Works within established deadlines to complete daily accounting tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- • Specializes in one functional area of accounting, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, or cash applications, performing duties with precision and attention to detail.
- • Verifies the accuracy of all posted transactions and documents to uphold internal controls and financial integrity.
- • Collaborates with team members and other departments to ensure consistent and correct application of accounting procedures.
- • Adheres to company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities and documentation practices.
- • Demonstrates initiative as a self-starter, managing workload independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- • Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to clarify accounting procedures and resolve routine financial inquiries.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
- • Experience may be substituted for education
- • Proficiency in relevant software applications and spreadsheets required
- • Motivated self-starter with effective written and verbal communication skills
- • Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
