📋 Description

• As a Technical Accounting Subject-Matter Expert at xAI Corporation, you will apply deep technical accounting expertise to support the development of next-generation AI systems by providing rigorous analysis and clear written explanations that train AI models to handle complex, non-routine accounting issues under U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include using proprietary software to label data, ensuring high-quality curated datasets, collaborating with engineering and research teams to refine annotation tools, selecting complex accounting problems from areas like revenue recognition, business combinations, and leases, and delivering detailed solutions and model critiques based on authoritative guidance.
• You will work within a small, highly motivated, and flat-structured team at xAI, where innovation, hands-on contribution, and intellectual curiosity are valued, and where your work directly impacts the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated accounting conclusions in fast-paced, evolving environments.
• This role offers the opportunity to apply and deepen your technical accounting expertise in an innovative AI context, contribute to cutting-edge AI training processes, and develop skills in interdisciplinary collaboration between accounting and advanced technology teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in technical accounting, audit, or accounting advisory roles within a public accounting firm or specialized advisory practice, with exposure to complex GAAP and SEC-reporting environments.
• Demonstrated ability to research and apply U.S. GAAP and other authoritative guidance to non-routine or judgment-intensive accounting issues.
• Strong written communication skills in English, with the ability to document accounting conclusions clearly and logically.
• Proficiency in navigating authoritative accounting resources, including FASB Codification, SEC EDGAR, public-company filings, and accounting policy documentation.
• Strong analytical judgment and the ability to reach defensible accounting conclusions in situations involving ambiguity or incomplete information.
• Interest in applying technical accounting expertise to emerging technologies and AI-driven accounting analysis.
