- • Support full-cycle accounts receivable operations, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and dunning process management to ensure timely collections
- • Manage accounts payable workflows, including vendor invoice processing, expense reconciliation, and credit card statement matching
- • Perform month-end close activities including financial reporting, variance analysis, and FP&A support to ensure accurate and timely financial outputs
- • Execute month-end commissions processing with precision under tight deadlines, ensuring alignment with sales performance data and compensation plans
- • Prepare and organize documentation for external audits, working closely with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit execution
- • Independently manage ad hoc financial projects as they arise, demonstrating agility in a rapidly evolving startup environment
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, and Product to provide accurate financial insights and support operational decision-making
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting platforms, ensuring compliance with internal controls and GAAP standards
- • Assist in budget monitoring and forecasting support by analyzing spending patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- • Ensure seamless integration of financial data across systems to support reporting accuracy and streamline reconciliation processes
- • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions, minimizing risk and improving process efficiency
- • Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting workflows by suggesting automation opportunities and documentation enhancements
- • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee compensation data at all times
- • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and new initiatives without compromising accuracy or timeliness of deliverables
- • Support international finance operations as needed, considering the global nature of Maze’s customer base and team
- • Provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders regarding financial status, deadlines, and unresolved issues
- • Maintain meticulous attention to detail across all financial tasks, from minor reconciliations to complex commission calculations
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-6 years of hands-on experience across accounts receivable, accounts payable, commissions processing, and FP&A
- • Experience with Xero, Rillet, or similar cloud-based accounting platforms
- • Proven ability to manage month-end close processes under tight deadlines
- • Strong organizational skills with a track record of independent ownership of financial workflows
- • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset across functional teams
- • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with shifting priorities
